Crying Moon
You can try different things to stick your wicks down, but if you for sure want them to stay put till the next millenium, glue those suckers down with clear silicone. You can get it most anywhere, hardware stores, walmart. You just need a little dab, but make sure you let it dry overnight or else it will come up too. I used to use the hot temp glue gun, but was still getting the floating wicks every now & then. It's a pain after you get all the wax in the jar and the dang wick floats up. Silicone saved my sanity. IndyGirl
I always use a hot glue gun and have never had a wick come loose. You have to use about a dime size amount and in seconds you can pour!
Anna
What are you using to stick your wicks?I use wick stickums from BCS,and never had a problem.
Leesters
Does Michaels carry any wick-stickum stuffies?
dirtybirdsoaps
The most I've ever seen at Michaels that I've ever heard of any one using is the foamy sticky dots LOL if that makes any sense I have NO CLUE to what they are actually called but from what I recall they are in the scrap booking section. I just use a glue gun. I got sick of paying for the stick ums. All I do is wick a bunch of containers at once that way they're ready when I need them. Hope this helps

I use glue dots from Lone Star, havent had a problem until recently...last week or so.
Candlebuddy
I use household silicone from Walmart. It's in the paint department ... about $2-$3 per tube.
Leesters
I need to find something cheap that sticks the wick, can be removed after burn, and can be removed from the jar.Gum work? lol.

debscent
Not all wick stick-ums are the same--trust me. I use a glue gun with high temperature glue. I do let them sit for an hour or so before using them. What temperature are you pouring your wax?
Nita
Thanks Wader. Good to see someone else in TX is having the same problem. Its not a good thing but at least i know i am not the only one struggling. I hope it gets better soon.
