  4. try printmything.com they are awesome- they can help you print out anything you need and their customer services is outta this world!
  5. You don't have to explain yourself to these people. If you have tested and have insurance, then go for it. This is not rocket science. Don't let them try and get you down.
  6. The wicks dance because of the lack of oxegen. If you use a jar where the mouth of the jar is the same width as the bottom that will help. HTH
  7. We host ours with Hand Craft Market. They are very helpful, and work hard to get you what you need. www.southernstarcandleco.com
  8. Thanks for the advice. I think I am just going to use new ones.
  9. Is it ok to refill jars if they have not been burned? We have some jars that we were going to melt down, but have not been lit. We dont want to do it if it is going to create a hazard.
  10. I live in TX also, and I have been having the same problem. I think it is all of the humidity we are having right now. I use glue dots from Lone Star, havent had a problem until recently...last week or so.
  11. Thanks everybody for your replies. There are a lot more scent places than I ever imagined. Don't know if that is bad or good. I already spend enough money at LS. Anyway, just wanted to thank yall for your help.
  12. Thanks for the non recommendations...LOL;)
  13. Is there any other ones that you might be able to recommend?
  14. Thanks Scented... We are not unhappy with them. I was just wandering how they compare to others. I seem to hear alot about FOH and candle science. Maybe I will give them a shot and see what they have to offer. Thanks so much for your help.
  15. Hello everyone, We currently use FOs for Lone Star Candle Supply. I was wandering if any of you ever use them and how the hold up against some of the other ones. We are fairly new to candle making and have only tried FOs from there, since we live very close. Thank you in advance for all your advise.
  16. We thought it would help with even burning of the wax better....but we do have a larger zinc wick that I'll also test out... Do you think that using an apothecary jar has anything to do with it. i did searches on here until 2 am last night and found out that the jar we are using may also be a culprit in our problem b/c it doesn't allow the correct air flow. i love these jars too....we may have to change them out and try for a new one.
  17. Hey everyone, We seem to be having a sooting problem with our candles. I am hoping that someone can give us some expert advise. We use J223 wax, 44-24-18 zinc core wicks, the jars that we use are 4" diameter at the base and 3 1/4 at the lid. We double wick and 1 oz. per pound of fragrance. We have already wicked down and that helped but did not eliminate the problem. We are in the works of testing LX wicks same size as the zinc core. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :undecided Thanks Wade
  18. thanks for the response- courious if it will work with candles people burn all day, which i know is a no no, but as we all know people will always do it no matter what you tell them....
  19. we got ours at home depot in the painting section for about 30.00
  20. anyone had any experience with a venting lid? i've read it helps with sooting and even burning...i've just ordered some and will test them out- just checking to see if anyone has tried it? Thanks!
  21. we use a whitening powder from Lone Star Candle Supply. I just add a pinch to the wax and it works very well. www.lonstarcandlesupply.com Wade
  22. I have had the same problem with the wet spots in the J50. We have started testing the J223. I seem to get the same kind of scent throw as the J50, but dont get nearly the wet spots. I hae noticed also that I am the only one that cares about the wet spot. None of my customers seem to even notice. Thanks for all of your replies. :highfive: Wade
  23. Thanks for your input. We are also in the middle of testing the J223. We are hoping this works out betterfor us. I was pleased with the J50 at first, but I think they sold out to IGI and the quality doesnt seem to be the same. :undecided Any other input about J223 or J50 would be great!!
