The best natural soap colors?

Two of my favorites are:

1) Annatto seeds or powder- A beautiful orange... I infuse annatto seeds in my olive oil but if you are using M&P you might want to buy it in powder form and just add it to the soap base.

2) Madder Root Powder- A beautiful cranberry color. Just add a bit to your soap base. It will float to the top of your soap and almost look like it is sprinkled. It is just beautiful!

Many of your clays will color. French green clay - obviously green. Pink clay...Sandalwood powder to a degree.

Chlorophyll will fade over time, especially in sunlight. Kelp will color also, but use sparingly or your soap can smell like dead fish :undecided

Paprika turns a nice peach, but can be scratchy if you use too much. Cinnamon and cocoa will both color a brown soap, but cinnamon can be a sensitizer for many and can also be a bit abrasive.

Alkanet root added to lye water will change to a lavender.
