Melts the soap evenly, then you just cut a corner out and squeeze it into your mold.Not wanting to hijack this thread but, I've got a batch i'm going to have to re-batch when using the turkey bags do I need to add water to the soap or just let it melt without adding anything to the bag? thecandlespastore Posted March 12, 2007 Share Posted March 12, 2007 Depends on how old the soap is. If its under a month old, no water, it should melt nicely. Older than 1 month try 1/2 teaspoon of water at a time while its melting until it gets soft enough so you can mush it with around your over mitted hands through the bag. Nanasnecessities Posted March 14, 2007 Share Posted March 14, 2007 I use a turkey roaster, fill it full and add a pitcher and a half with water, My soap is not old, it does shrink a bit, but I don't have problems with it sticking this way.
