Brandyanne
Hi Everyone- I have a fairly large amount of Frankecense and Myrrh- I don't think this has a Christmas smell but can not really describe what it does smell like- I want to rename it so I can get it used up- any suggestions? Malamute
I used to sell Yankee Candles and that is one of the biggest scents they have for Xmas. It was generally only avail. in England for a long time and they finally started selling it here in the US 2 years ago at Christmas time. I've sold 3 tarts of this before for 57.00 on ebay! I would keep it the same name. I relate this scent with the incense used in churches, it the same thing. So if you remame I'd use some kind of incense description. Ry Creek Candles
We call it "His Essence". And I put scriptures from the bible on them in addition to my lable.

Brandyanne
I guess I had not seen it offered year round- this was the first time I had tried it my self- maybe I will not rename it then and see if it sells- Thanks!
Brandyanne
That is a great idea! Thanks!
sudsnwicks
I think of it as an incense type of scent, which doesn't really have to do with Christmas since people burn incense all year round. I don't think you need to rename it for year round sales, though you could rename it during Christmas to something more festive sounding (e.g. Three Kings). Brandyanne
That is a good idea too-maybe I had it backwards thinking it was A Christmas scent- I am going to try leaving it as is!
Malamute
Yup 57.00 for 3 tarts!! I only sold rare/retired Yankee Candles as they have different scents in England than they do here and I have a friend who lives there and I had a resource for retired stuff, and I'll tell ya, people go nuts over that stuff. Sold them for 5 years. The last jar I sold in July was a NY state Niagra Falls 22 oz. jar and it went for 125.00! I have sold 3 unwrapped YC votives for 34.00! Had to get out of it though, when I started there was only 4 of us sellers and that turned into hundreds and high priced stuff like that causes a lot of people to want to do insurance scams, paypal scams, etc!!!
