  1. I buy their liquid dye. You don't hear much about them on this forum. I have used others dye and not gotten the true color like AAA. JMO.
  2. I am doing my very first fundraiser. And I wanted something just a little better than copy paper also. So I went to Office Deopt and got Presentation Paper cost 47.00 for 150 sheets. I put my logo on the front and the order form on the back to conserve paper. looks pretty good if I say so myself. I think I am going to price out the copying to a couple of local places to see if it is a little cheaper. Good luck with you fundraiser, hope you make lots of money!!! Ry
  3. By Yank-Me any one know of any supplier who has a dup for this. Very clean and light.
  4. I got mine from a local paper supply company. I think they have a web site. Bainpaper.com. Their number is 254-772-BAIN. Hope they can help. When I went in they guy said "Let me guess...Jello Shots":laugh2: Ry
  5. I'M WITH-A THERE SISTER. NO SALES JUST BLAZING HEAT!!!!
  6. Has anyone heard of a scent named John Wayne? Someone asked me if I knew of it. I asked was it a leathery scent or maybe leather mixed with maybe a mens cologne? Anybody?
  7. Thanks Susan-Hi Neighbor:wave: I have Tuscan Patchouli from GL that is yellowish brown color so..... And I will be sure to stay away from greenish yellow:p . Leaning more and more back to the dark green. In our line we don't have anythng that color. Thank to all for their help. Dawna
  8. is it by chance this print? Jack Vettriano is my all time favorite.
  9. For French Market we have had it dark green, and dark blue blue. And I was thinking of changing it yet again. We have a lot of pink, reds and reddish colors. I was maybe thinking of a sunny yellow. Anyone have any thought:D
  10. We have orders for Valentine Baskets. We came up with a real cute idea. All orders are preordered and paid in advance. Basket: 2- tumblers one with Fire Place then they can choose from Lick Me All Over, Butt Naked, Satin Sheets, Crème Brulee or Amber Romance. 2- Wine glasses Chocolates Rose petals (silk) Video of a Fire Place Wrapped w/a bow. And its call “A Romantic Evening by the Fire”. Retail; $40.00 I don’t have a TABC license so for each order the customer gives me their own wine or champagne and I’ll set it into the basket also, and anything else they would like to add. One guy has a Diamond Necklace for his girlfriend. I told him to hold on to that and when he comes to pick up the basket I’ll put in before he takes it. We have 23 of these ordered but I have made up 30 just in case someone has a last minute thought.
  11. If I could I would love a copy too. Dmenchaca@hot.rr.com. Thanks in advance for the help.
  12. Thanks for the come-backs. I wish I could think fast on my feet. What you have said would have saved me so much aggregation. I just have never had anything like this happen to me. But you can bet I will know how to handle it next time. I forgot to say my town is fairly small and I know most of the competition. I don’t want to get a bad name like one of my competitors have. I want my business to grow into a fulltime job. I know “Pie in the Sky”. But a girl has to have a dream.
  13. I think that “Something Wicked This Way Comes” Okay I get this call from a girl saying that her sister got one of my candles as a Christmas present. She wanted to know my prices and what sizes I carry how many scents I carry. I tell her that I would be happy to email her a scent list. Then she asks me something that just kind of threw me; she asked me where I got my jars. I said I prefer not to give out my business supplier information, and that she could do an internet search that there are many suppliers out there if she did a little work. So now she gets very quite and in a very condescending voice says; “well, what are the jars called” I say it is written on them. I use Square Masons. And it says so on the jar. So I have come to realize after sitting here and thinking about it she was on “a fishing trip” fishing for info. I am sure that most of you will agree with me on this point, I had to work hard to come up with my line and no one held my hand and gave me all the info that I needed to start my business. I had to just about scratch and claw to get my business started. Why would I just give out my suppliers information? She gave me her email address to send her a scent list, but that is not happening. So what do all of you think?
  14. I myself don't do tins but I have read about some that do. From what I've read you have to becareful because some that have seams leak. You could try G/L they have them on clearence. Ry
  15. My price on them are $9 and I haven't had anyone say my prices are too high. But like anything; price for your area. And make it worth your while, no use doing all that work if you aren't getting paid for your time and work. Ask me how I know. I kept telling myself you sure are some cheap labor.
  16. We have a show in a small town about 30 minutes away. It’s a Norwegian Christmas in the Country. So nothing to pour tonight or Saturday, but Sunday is another story. I have Christmas orders to get out by next Friday so “In My Pot” will be Christmas Memories, Jackie Frost, White Christmas, Santa’s Cookies, and the dreaded Crème Brulee. And for the private labels; Leather, Texas Bluebonnets, Texas Sunset, Camp Fire Coffee, and the dreaded Crème Burlee. I just don’t get it that stuff makes me gag. But it’s my bread and butter so it will remain a staple. Good luck to all that have a show this weekend. Ry
  17. I'm using the LX 22 in 16oz Masons. There is only one FO i have to wick up and that is their Cranberry Orange Spice. No wet spots or sink holes this wax behaves really great. And Brenda and David are a wealth of knowledge. They maynot like me saying this:tiptoe: ; But if you have a question, problem, or a need to know give them a call they are more than happy to help.
  18. 95% of my FOs come from G/L. One of their new ones is Pumpkin Harvest, OMG I can't even keep it stocked. I have been building my stock for 2 shows at the end of the month and Dec.1 but as soon as I get my stock built up it's gone. The same way with Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. Davis just sent me a sample of all the new scents, because he knows I just can't resist . They have a new one called Fireplace..... This is so good OOB haven't had time to put into wax and can't wait. So after my ramblings, IMO you can't go wrong with any of their scents. Ry
  19. Since I stsrted my business I have only used their 70/30. The difference in the batches are a slight difference, I really only saw the difference before But in candles it acts just like the other batches. Brenda and David are so great to work with. The only problem I have with them is that David keeps sending me samples of their new FO's. Their new Mango Papaya is to die for, it is so god you could eat it. I don' make soap but I think it wauld make a great one. I have never gotten a scent that didn't throw like crazy, Cold or Hot.
  20. It looks like we have a winner Wait for it........ PEAKS!!!!! Thanks for the help. Have any of you put it in wax? And if so do you use 6%. I use G/L 70/30. Ry
  21. Anyone know a good one? I have had a request for it and don't know where to begin to look.
