BLSoaps Posted January 10, 2007 Share Posted January 10, 2007 I recently started selling the colorants that I've been using to make CP soap for ages. FD&C Blue #1 turns a beautiful purple in CP soap. It's what I use every time I want a purple. Yeah, the morphing can be confusing, but I just trust the knowledge of what I learned in kindergarten (yellow and red make orange), and my knowledge of the morphing, and I usually end up with the colors I want. Scented Posted January 11, 2007 Share Posted January 11, 2007 Hey Christina ... maybe try adding just a touch of blue to it and see what happens? Someone suggested that to me once so I tried it with a pinch of a ultramarine blue and the purple hung in there. Not going to guarantee that will always work, because I already know it won't.
