gingerinarkansas Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Have any unusual suggestions? Ginger Quote
Scented Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Bet something alcoholish would make a good watermelon something lol. How about a tea scent (something light though); otherwise I would simply combine other fruits with it. Quote
nayarx8 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Try it with Lilac or Lavender. Both of those FO's tend to be a really good floral to mix w/ different assorted fruit FO's. I know Ive mixed a watermelon/kiwi FO with a Lilac and it was very good! Quote
Deana_P Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I had been wondering what to do with this watermelon FO I have too...Great post ! Quote
AngelaVA Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Lily smells great mixed with watermelon (I like more melon than lily, since the floral is pretty strong). Also try something like Lime Cooler or Vanilla. Quote
Candlebuddy Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I would be a bit conservative with what I'd mix ... scents like other melons and/or fruits; cucumber might be a good one too. (TN has a scent call Cucumber Melon & Pear.) The Candle Source has an Orange Cantalope ... that may be a nice one to mix. I would think that you could mix any fruits (strawberry, blueberry, etc.) and get Fruit Salad ... add a little marshmallow and it becomes Ambrosia. As for me ... I'd stay away from the florals ... just not a floral person. Quote
carol k Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 peach. i just mix up a combination of fruits and call it fruits gone crazy. Quote
gingerinarkansas Posted January 9, 2007 Author Posted January 9, 2007 Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll check out my stock of fruit fo later and give them a try. Ginger Quote
Scented Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Man if I had the orange canteloupe one mentioned earlier I'd mix it. That looks like it would be the best combo mentioned so far (except if you added an alcohol smell to it like some Sex on the Beach or maybe sometime to make it a tini or who knows, pina colada or a margarita mix might be good too.) carol k Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 i smelled one of beanpods candles today that was cucumber/watermelon and it didn't smell to bad. Quote
sockmonkey Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Have you got any apple? I've found apple blends nicely with many different fragrances--spices, fruits, and florals. Quote
BrandNewToCandles Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Everything that stinks gets mixed with vanilla or cinnamon... lol. Doesn't always work, though... Quote
CareBear Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Chocolate! Everything is better with CHOCOLATE! Quote
