Using martini glasses for candles

Recommended Posts

I pour martini glasses a lot but whatever you do, don't buy the ones at dollar tree..I've done "Girls Night Out" themed martini candles and just recently did "Under the Mistletoe Christmas Party" martini glasses and I use older glassware that is a bit heavier..also, if you plan on shipping, I have to double box martini auctions..the stems are fragile..hth

Thanks for the help!! I was figuring that a heavier glass would be ok (of course I'd have to test a couple of times). I was worried about the glass cracking, but we'll see. I have a cousin who has a martini themed apartment so I figured candles of this type would be perfet.:yay:

I'm an amateur candle maker but I love making the martini glass candles. The ones that I purchased were from JoAnns for .99 each and then I dressed them up with flowers hot glued around the bottom of the glass. I scented them with 'Pleasures' scent, colored my wax a beautiful pink and used different colored pink flowers (using the stems and leaves for additional color) with a bit of gold highlights. They were a huge hit at my office. I'm going to make some more and sell these ones. Good luck with them!
