CountryGal
It's parrafin that my grandma used to use to can jelly with! LOL, I have a box of it that has to be about 25 years old at least! I don't know about using it for candles, but it's parrafin.
jillgunter
I have bought it before. Its made for canning, etc. I bought some one time when making Buckeyes to thin the dipping chocolate a little. Its safe for putting in food.
country creek
I have to tell u that the throw on this bad boy is wonderful!!!! I am totally impressed that after 4 days it still smells as good as it did when I bought it. I may have to try making mine with this stuff. Carol M
You'll need to add some Vybar 103 or Universal Additive to improve oil retention and scent throw, but I have used it before for tarts and votives. I was at a close-out grocery store once and they had it for $.39/#, so I bought about 20 boxes of it. I opted to mix it about 70/30 with 4627 instead of adding Vybar, and the scent throw was very good. But it will need additives if you're going to use it straight. Candlebuddy
You can buy Gulf Wax at most hardware stores. I've dipped small cinnamon embeds in it (hearts, stars, etc.) I mix them with my hips & sticks.
julwid
I am wondering if I could replace this wax for the J50 that I currently use with my soy mix. J5o has got so pricey that I really want to find something different to use.
