TexasBrat
Do you think it is cheesy to use recycled baby food jars for any type of bath and body products, say like scrubs or lotion parfaits etc? tia
topofmurrayhill
Yeah a little. Then again I think clamshells are a little ghetto but the chandlers love them.
LiDa
IMO not cheesy....but I would boil as well as remove the labels and use my own label! If you smell those jars some of them stink from the food and won't come out!I think it would be kinda vintage and a cute thing to do, just gotta get that SQUASH smell out!Good luck
Indescent
BBBBAAAAA HHHAAAA @ Ghetto clamshells. :laugh2::laugh2:I have an 8 month old and I save the jars to make air freshners for our cars or for testers. I don't think I wouldn't sell them like that since they have the name around the rim of the lid. I can't stand for someone else's name to be on my stuff! TexasBrat
I have this lady who has been saving me a bunch of them and and she rinses them out right away so that helps. I thought they might be neat, I may have to see how they look first.
jvfern
I think they would be cute as baby shower favors!
TexasBrat
Maybe I'll just use them for samples.
Candle Man
I won't use them for B&B products. I do paint the lids pink or blue and pour baby powder candles in them for shower gifts.
sudsnwicks
As a consumer, I would not like to buy B&B products in baby food jars. Candles - definitely. I've always thought they would make nice candle containers.
Scent Cellar
I think your customers would prefer more professional packaging. Packaging with eye appeal should be a big part of your business or hobby as well as the product it holds.
TexasBrat
I do agree that the domed containers are much classier but was just seeing what the opinions were out there on it. I realized too they they have metal tops and that could be a problem with rust forming. To bad I don't make candles, I have tons of jars but I'm sure I will craft with them some other way.
