knlarson
Hi,Just wondering what color people are doing for mistletoe... I tried red but it came out more mauve-colored b/c it was soy, which wasn't bad, but I'm wondering if green is a better color. What do other people do?ThanksKristen

savedbygrace06
I don't color anymore but when I did, I used to use Balsam Green for anything like that. HTH

Candle Man
Mistletoe is not a dark hunter green color, it is more a bay leaf color.BTW - It tends to have a slight yellow cast to it.click pic to enlarge.
knlarson
Wow, thanks for the photo. I guess I was thinking red because of the berries but green does make more sense. I have so many red holiday scents already that a green would be nice. Thanks for the input.
CareBear
I once got a beautiful green mistletoe candle with a little silver glitter sprinkled on the top of the wax. I don't know if that's a "no no" in candle-land (this was el cheapo, and stunk when I tried to burn it), but it made it just a tiny bit special.... LynnS
Green. This is my second year making it and my first thought GREEN.Seems like all the Christmas scents will be green or red.I kept those candles seperate at a show and knew right where they were because of color.I am thinking about a layered candle for peppermint.Just have red tarts now.LynnS
