SoapInTheCity
I want to make mini pumpkin pie soaps. How do I line the metal tart pans with freezer paper? They are 4 3/8 X1 3/16. I will cut them pies into 4.
Meridith
Try just coating the molds with Pam and maybe they will come right out?
ladysj
I'm glad this question was asked. I was wondering the same thing myself because I was wanting to use a cake mold.
CareBear
I've been told that because Pam is vegetable oil it will saponify and so won't work too well (at least with CP). You might want to use mineral oil instead.
SoapInTheCity
Okay, let's say instead of greasing up the pan.............how do you do it?
Meridith
You can use Pam but you have to use it lightly. I've used it before with no problems. And you can always trim off where it might get a little brown because of the Pam.
lindsaycb
I'd stay away from any metal that's not stainless myself. Aluminum, coated, etc... Look into the new silicone bakeware. If its mini pies you want to make there's some cool muffin tart shapes out there. Along with big cake/pie pans too.
Meridith
Someone, I think it was CarolGrant mentioned that they had some bleeding issues with the red silicone molds. I don't know if the problem continued or if they were able to somehow rememdy it. Was that you Carol?

Christy Doc Holley
how about filling them with mp then pour the cp in them later ?
CareBear
Yup that was me. My red silicone does bleed. Or did, I haven't tried a third time. I'm told that it stops happening at some point, but don't know when. And also only the red ones bleed, supposedly - any other color is supposed to be fine.
