AngelaVA
Does anyone use this fragrace - is familiar with it? I just received a sample pack with this FO in it. OOB it smells nothing like cranberry. It actually smells just like Peak's Spruce Tree (which I carry). I checked the scent description and there is no mention of pine in it, so I can't figure out why it smells like a tree. Just wanted to check with you all first and see if it's supposed to smell like this - and hopefully the pine goes away in wax - or if I need to call Peak. Thanks. dandelion garden
I poured a few testers with it last season. I don't remember a pine smell. Could they have made an error? My notes say that it had a strong cold and hot throw but I had to wick up quite a bit compared to others I was using- went from a 73 to a 83 to a 93 and then gave up. Deb
There is no pine smell in the Spiced Cranberry; just a nice, cranberry scent. Sounds to me like the bottle was labeled incorrectly.
AngelaVA
Thanks, that's what I figured. I'll call or e-mail tomorrow and get it straight. But on the plus side, I now have one more ounce of Spruce Tree. I can't stand this FO, but it sells like crazy around christmas, lol. sudsnwicks
I have their Spiced Cranberry. Mine smells like cranberry, and bears no resemblance to the Spruce Christmas Tree (which I also use).
meghanheater
My spiced cranberry from Peaks has a slight pine scent to it too. It does not have much of a cranberry smell, its quite odd actually. I also got mine in the 1 oz sampler pack, coincidence?
Candybee
I have the spiced cranberry from Peaks too. Smells nothing like pine. But I got a 16oz bottle and not a sample.
Crafty1_AJ
The sample bottle I had (been some time ago) did not smell even faintly like a spruce or pine scent. Just cranberry and a bit of cinnamon.Makes great soap, BTW.
judyvega
Mine did not have a pine smell at all. Interesting.
Sarah
i've never noticed a pine smell, and this one has been one of my best sellers at christmas time for the past two years.
CandleFreak
mine doesn't have a pine smell...but it does remind me of cough syrup...uugghhh
AngelaVA
I called Peak today and the nice woman there said that it definitely should not smell like pine. So they are sending me the correct sample and it's all taken care of. I dipped a q-tip in the sample and compared with Spruce Tree and it's an exact match. There just must have been a mixup in the labeling. Peak has great customer service though. One quick call and the right Fo is on the way

AngelaVA
They really do have great customer service. I called and said that my FO smelled like a tree instead of a cranberry and *poof*, new FO is in the mail. No hassle, no having me mail back that FO, etc. Quick and easy. They did offer to put it in my next order instead of mailing it, but I'm not sure when i'll order again so I asked her just to mail it instead. I love Peak's customer service. Jeannie
I guess I'm crazy cause I've always noticed a bit of pine smell too it but it's real faint. Maybe that is the spice I am smelling, but I barely notice it in the wax.
debscent
I know this is an old thread, but I received a 4 oz. bottle of the Spiced Cranberry this week, and yep...spruce Christmas tree...ugh! Have to call them in the morning. Since I've already poured it and colored it burgundy I'll have to rename it...any sugggestions?
