DisasterofBeauty Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 When you had no molds, what did you use for pillars? I have saved baby formula cans, and pringles cans...they make great 3-wicks and pillars. Quote
Scented Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 When I first started out just about everything looked like a mold to me. And just about everything became a mold too lol! Quote
friendlyMOM Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 if you use a baby formula can how can you get the pillar out because the inside of the can has ridges Quote
DisasterofBeauty Posted May 5, 2006 Author Posted May 5, 2006 My bestfriend uses her fast food cups. The only thing is, I'm trying to figure out how to get the wax out of the formula cans. It's not as easy as it looks. Quote

My formula cans have next to no ridges. The only thing is, they are literally one time use molds. I've had to tear apart the first one. The candle came out cute though. I put mold release in it, and nine times out of ten, it works. Quote

SheilaW Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 When I first started out just about everything looked like a mold to me. And just about everything became a mold too lol! That's funny because it was the same here. Anything was fair game to get a hole drilled in it:cheesy2: Quote
Georgia Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 plastic 20 oz pop bottles - right side up or upside down. Sprite made the cutest candles. Two liters became 3-wick molds. The are one-time use only, too, but they tear off really easy. I just cut them down to size and make a hole for the wick! Quote
