maryann
I know there was a thread on this maybe last month and I can't find it. I have ordered red from a few differ suppliers and they are either brown or maroon in color. I would like a BRIGHT RED that won't bleed or change colors in CP. PLEASE help me (this is me on my knees begging)TIA

Grumpy Girl
I can get a pretty decent red with select shades. It's a tomato red.The third one down is 3 Violet Red to One Muted Red at 1/2 tsp. PP.

Crafty1_AJ
I use Dragon Lily Red with good results. I've posted a pic of a soap I made with this ... I'll see if I can dig it up.Edited to add the link: http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20841&page=2Sorry the bars are so cockeyed. I was having a bad cutting day, and these bars hadn't been cleaned up yet. But as you can see, it's a pretty true red. At least on my monitor it is. OutlandishLady
And where would one find this colorant, AJ?
Crafty1_AJ
I think her web addy is www.dragonlilyessentials.com The prices may seem a bit steep for those colorants, but a TINY bit goes a long way. We're talking a few drops per batch of soap. So they last a long time. I'm still on my original batch of six bottles. LOL
OutlandishLady
Web site is closed for maintanence. Bummer. I'll have to check back. I did get some liquid colorant from Southern Belle Soaps that made a nice red.
