nickel889
I'm testing candle cocoon's sugar shanty in millenium wax. Pictures are about 2 hours of burning, 3 inch diameter jar. Does this melt pool look OK at this point? Cd 8 wick... which just seems like a small number. This wick required no trimming so far. Thanks Edited January 18, 2023 by nickel889 Hit submit too soon
TallTayl
Looks fine to me at this point. Keep taking temps with your IR thermometer to make sure it doesn’t overheat as it gets further down.
nickel889
Thanks for the response. Candle Cocoon's wicking chart for sugar shanty with 464 in a 3" diameter is cdn16. I was told to use the 464 wick guide as a starting point for millennium. I just feel like I'm way off or doing something wrong!
NightLight
If it’s wicking for 464, I would try one at CDN 12. I have found CD/CDN14 for open jars and then CD/CDN 10-12 for jars with lip. That fragrance may take an an 8. Only way to test is make another one.
