The Candle Nook
I poured about 100 unscented candles (GB 464) for my daughter's wedding for table decor….and I just hate to throw out all the unburned wax. Can I remelt and add FO or does melting, pouring, burning change the wax properties too much to be consistent for my FO’s?
TallTayl
You sure can! Getting the wax out of the jars to melt to temp, add FO and report is time consuming but possible. you may notice the Re melted wax will perform better since the latent moisture will be heated out when you melt the second time.
The Candle Nook
Thanks @TallTayl After all I’ve read on this forum, I suspected that was the case — just wanted to double check. I don’t mind the extra time to remelt, etc…but didn’t want the added extra of FO $$ and time if it wasn’t possible

Just resist the temptation to melt wax in the jar and add scent and let cool again. It will not mix well. I tried. It was not pretty 😂. (Or all that safe in the end).
NightLight
Get a roasting pan, some water low temp oven melt wax dump into container. Scoop out what you need by weight and add fragrance by weight.

NightLight
I use method for cleaning out test candles, makes it easy to get wax out in bulk.
