PalmettoScentWorks
Would you recommend the Ky Para-Soy Tart & Votive Blend Wax or the GW 494 for wax melt/tarts? Which one gives the best hot throw?
barbaranj
I switched to the KY Parasoy and I love it. But it needs to cure for at about 3 weeks before melting. I never used GW494 .

Which one gives the best hot throw? I'm with Barbara, I also love KY para/soy wax and you can get it from several suppliers like Flaming, Virginia, Just Scent and I think Bescented and a couple more. I love the ease of granular wax. The only thing I don't like about it is it leaves dimples when I pour it. Barbara gets a smooth top when she pours though. I need to take notes from her! LOL!
Karen Ov
I have tried both and ky is better in my opinion also.

And I cover the molds after pouring.
PalmettoScentWorks
I bought some of both and tested, but ended up going with the 494. Hot throw in both is great, so I just decided to go with the no paraffin aspect, simply for selling point.

I will try heating my molds next time!
