Spellkast
So very disappointing! Scented with JS's Halo and I can't smell a thing- then the ultramarine clumped (and you can see the little dots of pure dye in the pic.) It's really soft, too...hoping that will get better, but I can bend it and mold it...it's fun!
TerriWV
Well, other than the spots, it doesn't look bad. Maybe after it cures a while it will harden. It sure looks alot better than my first .
Kaybee23
It doesn't look so bad, I like the swirl color in it. It should harden up after it cures, from what I understand.
elle110
Awesome you did it! It will harden up as it cures. Hey, you are braver than me, I used no color my first batch. How much FO per # of soap did you use? Some fragrance blossom as they cure..................... mysticglow
Looks good. My first, second and maybe third batch had little specks of ultramarine too. I couldn't get it mixed in to save my life.
Spellkast
Thanks guys...you sure did boost my confidence! I actually used 1 whole ounce of JS's Halo and then added a little bit more of Heavenly just because I couldn't smell a thing!

Grumpy Girl
Girl, that is a damn fine first CP! I'd be very proud of it.
Michi
I can't understand why you can't smell the fragrance, but I just wanted to say I think it's pretty, spots of dye and all, no one but us knows it's not supposed to be that way. RobinInOR
Hey, it's soap! Good job for your first one. Even if you've been soaping awhile you can get speckles - I've got a whole batch sitting on my shelves that look exactly the same - my UM didn't get blended enough for some reason. If that's the major problem you had for your first, you're doing good
kate573
wow it is lovely soap. You are being too hard on yourself. Way to go.
Meridith
I think that's a great soap. Especially for the first try. The color is nice and the soap looks very creamy. Good job!! The fragrance might come out more as it cures. I've had FOs that have done that.

KMommy
I hadn't noticed the spots until I read your comment. I think you did a good job. The color reminds me of blueberry cheesecake.
