ellajoan
This has been my quest for nearly 2 years! I need a sweet almond (think almond extract or almond paste) that has a great HT! I can get ones w/ fantastic CT, but HT either is super weak or turns bitter. I am trying to duplicate a dutch recipe of almond paste, butter, vanilla, and flaky crust. I have mixed multiple fragrance oils and just can't nail this one. I don't want any almond w/ cherry tones (aka Jergens), which many of them have. Has anyone tried either Almond Cookie or Almond Macaroon from Just Scent? Almond Cybilla from Brambleberry is nice, but it doesn't throw at all. I need your help/advice please! TallTayl
I have liked the cybilla almond from brambleberry and the almond from sweetcakes.
ellajoan
TallTayl, I can't get Almond Cybilla from BB to throw in 464 at all. Any suggestions? Do you need to wick it differently or something? The CT is amazing, but no HT.
TallTayl
I had to wick it up a little bit from my normal fragrances. I find that those that are weak with CD sonetimes throw better with rRD.

ellajoan
Thanks, TallTayl. How many sizes do you need to wick up? I currently use 464 w/ Premier wicks.
Beaches
Toasted Almond from Sweetcakes is great. Good throw and does not smell toasted at all.
Pam W
I have a Sweet Almond Musk from RE that throws great in paraffin. Fills the room with a nice, subtle scent but what's funny is that I've never had anyone buy one so I just use it for personal use......go figure! ! ! ellajoan
TallTayl, are you willing to share what you blend it with? I'm on attempt 8 and I still can't get the Almond Cybilla from Brambleberry to throw (I've blended it w/ so many things!). If not, I understand completely.
