kandlekrazy
What is the advantage, if any, using a wick coated in beeswax vs soy wax? Does it burn slower? Or are they simply to use in a non-soy candle? I noticed one of my suppliers now carriesall the HTP wicks with both options soy or beeswax.
ChrisR
I don't find it to be an advantage, more of a preference. I personally used to coat some of my wicks with beeswax, but never saw an advantage to it and didn't think they burned slower so stopped wasting my time. Some people swear that they burn better coated with beeswax, but I didn't see a difference.
kandlekrazy
Thanks Chris, not sure why a supplier would waste the room carrying both options.
TallTayl
It could have a higher melt point making it stand straighter in a wax with a lower mp.
kandlekrazy
Hmmm...good point, I can't get any straight answers from GW, but possibly the girls working don't know.
