flair
I am thinking of ordering some tins and trying it.... Do you guys see a decent market for 8oz tins???? I know everyone's business is different but I do want to try it.. Anything different that I need to know before ordering the tins and trying this? Pitfalls? Beware?? afewthingz
My tins do very well, in fact I'm in the process of making 60 for a client, that I met at the farmers market. Edited November 10, 2014 by afewthingz
TallTayl
I do tins year round. They wick differently because of the nature of the material and the short, squatty dimensions. Like ay other container, test, test, test.ETA: i do the 8 oz, which hold about 6 weighed ounces. barbaranj
I would suggest the candle tins with the feet, if you will, on the bottom.I get mine from Candle Science. (I tried to paste the link, but I couldn't get it to work.)
TallTayl
I use the samebarbaranj. Plus, they are lined, so no discoloration with some fragrances that are prone to discoloration.
Oceangazer1
I've used the same tins. They are nice, but I'm not sure if I want to stick with jars or offer both. I use 6006 and CD wicks in them, some with eco's. Edited November 17, 2014 by Oceangazer1
Oceangazer1
Also, I was just looking over some of the test tins I have kept and there is rust in some spots. They have never gotten wet.
