MicheleC
I just received my first presto pot with a spigot from Aztec. I was using the old fashion way to melt wax. I noticed tho soon as I move the pot even a bit the plug in magnetic adapter comes off. Is there anyway to stop that or just have to be very careful and make sure not to move it much? SuzyK
I never really thought of trying to make a way to stop it. I make sure not to move the pot at all while using it.
ChandlerWicks
Yep, can't move it around. I have moved the PP & realize later, that's why the darn wax isn't melting. Edited December 17, 2013 by ChandlerWicks
MicheleC
I only ask because mine came off last night and I barely moved it. Does anyone sell ones that have the plug in type adapter?
MicheleC
my adapter is in the back and my spigot is in the front.. I got it pushed up against the wall hoping that will help keep it in there.
ChandlerWicks
My adapter is on the side, to the right of the spigot, it places the cord at a funny angle.
rjdaines
My guess is that it is a safety feature. Try supporting the cord to be as horizontal as possible.
TallTayl
I wouldn't mess with making the cord hold tighter. Wax fires are baaaaad. I can use all the safety features i can get.
MicheleC
Actually I figured out the problem. The magnet fell out. Where I dunno but that explains why it isn't holding at all.

MicheleC
I'm actually glad that's what it was because I was seriously sitting here trying to figure out how anyone could melt wax in it while making sure not to move it even the slightest without it falling out. Last night I was trying to hold the plug in with one hand while trying to stir was definitely a sight to see. Sorry for all the duh questions I'm just still such a novice to wax. ChandlerWicks
That's the only way I learn most of the time, by asking questions. & by making mistakes!
