annie123
Too funny...after all didn't I see dear old Martha Stewart pour wax in seashells and show people how easy it is to make your own candles...and if Martha says so then it has to be true. The need for insurance. up til now I only make melts for sell and candles are just for me but I do want to sell them at some point. So where do I even go to get insurance and how much is it? For instance, Brower has an artist program that provides several pick and choose options. RLI, Soapguild, Indie Business Network, and possibly even your own local insurance agent are options. Look for, at a minimum, product liability insurance when you begin to sell your product. The search seems daunting at first, but it gets easier. Bumblebeebabe
Thanks so much. With tarts it was just not an issue. I also make body care products and only sell that to family and friends but will be selling on my site soon, so I think I will get it for that too. It never even crossed my mind. I feel so silly.
