  1. You can buy a kit to do the wax seal, Michaels has that and I once bought already made wax seals on Etsy.
  2. Nature Garden had them and I also saw these on eBay.
  3. You should just have sent items you had on hands. When you sell online customers expect you to be there 24/7, they don't care if you are dead or if your house burned down. They want handmade - custom - not too expensive - and right away. My policies and turn around time are clearly posted all over my Etsy store but people don't read anymore. Plus the internet makes it very easy to give people plenty of "poop' without any real consequence. And don't forget the seller is ALWAYS wrong whatever the circumstances.
  4. I am so generous I even bought flowers for a stranger! This is a PITA, I gave up trying to find out where it came from a long time ago.
  5. Ok, my business credit card was hit again! Mostly used online to buy business supplies, so check your statements.
  6. I am thinking of selling my B&B business, I just don't have the time anymore. I sell only on Etsy. How do I go about pricing my business, should I sell my inventory separately?
  7. I put out % off coupons, people end up buying more because they think that they are saving. And I always include a small sample of something with every order.
  8. I was thinking about the cost of shipping supplies like wax and some fo's now have to be shipped ground.
  9. I want to make a few floral arrangements for Easter. Where can I find wholesale online supply of artificial flowers and baskets?
  10. I use to order from her a lot but very few of her oils do anything in wax, both in soy and parasoy. I like the names and the choices but overall her oils are just too weak and it is a waste of money I took so many bottles of fo to the landfill. Her customer service is great, her marketing is great but the products are not. The best BBW are at WSP if you want to pay those prices.
  11. By now I have gazillion bottle of fo...I have so many I just stopped counting. But I can't figure out what to use for Spring in my b&b products.
  12. Backwoods has a pistachio dream cake, and wsp has a pistachio macaroon. I have not tried Daystar.
  13. Most of her scent are weak in wax compared to other suppliers. It is too bad because the she has a lot of choices and the names are great. I used to buy a lot from her when I first started but now I only carry 5 of her scents for B&B.
  14. To register your business and for Sale Tax ID go to your state's web site. Then your county's web site, I had to register my business name with the court, I had to apply for a home business permit, some cities also require a vending license. Or you can go to Legal Zoom pay a little extra and they'll tell you what you need depending where you live.
  15. 464 is not an easy wax to work with, you have to test, test, test before you find the right formula...there's a lot of good info on this site, I remember adding CO at 1/2 teaspoon per lb of wax. I can't remember the exact temperature but don't pour it too hot. And overall I always had good result with NG's oil, I couldn't get anything with RE and Bittercreek oils I think because they are thicker oils.
  16. Did you pay with a credit card or using Western Union?
  17. I am looking at ordering some items, everything comes from China (of course). Has anyone done business with that site before?
  18. I do all of my business online and 99% is positive, with many repeat customers. I had one nasty episode with a young girl on my Facebook page. By young I mean early 20s, I do not know who raised some of these girls but they don't teach them manners. It's pretty much, my way, NOW and F YOU! Some of them just like to create DRAMA for the fun of it. Many of them just want free stuff to start with and there is no real defending yourself because it is their word against yours. If you want a fresh start you could always change your business name. Just make sure that you can handle the stress that comes with running a business and good luck!
  19. At one point I had between 300 to 400 fragrance oils. Many of them never sold, what a waste of money. You have to accept that you cannot offer every scent in the universe. I would start with 25 solid sellers and built it from there.
  20. Overall I would have to say NG. In soy and parasoy I got the best results.
  21. That's how I got started but back then we did not have Better Homes and everybody else selling melts at Walmart for $2.00. But Scentsy is a good example of marketing to sell overpriced melts to people who don't know better.
  22. Just closed my store for the Holidays I need a break. Most customers are great, many repeats but once in a while you run into problems. Call me suspicious but it is always from 1st time orders for small amount from people who have no feedbacks. "I never received my order" but the tracking number shows it was delivered to the address provided or "it was stolen out of my mailbox"...I had a women file a case against me both on Etsy and Paypal because her order was stolen out of her mailbox and I wouldn't replace it. Sometimes it's just easier to refund than deal with all the drama.
  23. Well the fo I was looking at was $15.00 for 1 oz so I told my customer that I would have to charge extra and I never heard back from her...
  24. Just what I need another excuse to buy more fragrance oils.
