Candybee
I made this soap on Memorial Day from the SS Egyptian Dragon samples she sent me. The colors are ultramarine blue (for lapis lazuli) and turmeric (for golden yellow). Its a coconut milk and honey soap with shea and silk. Wish the blue hadn't faded. The colors look truest in the third pic.As soon as it hardens up a bit more I'll send you a soapie to play with! ProudMarineMom
That turned out wonderfully!! Maybe after a bit of cure the blue will darken up for you. My purple micas seem to do that. Fade a bit then turn into a nice, dark purple. Can't wait to try it!!
Candybee
I can't wait either! This morning as I walked past it I had to smell it. Sweet amber seems to be the strongest note. Will see when it cures how the scent plays out.

Scented
Very cool looking! Have you ever noticed that when you spray alcohol on the wet colors, they appear to hold a certain vibrancy to them? Actually just wondering i that happens with anyone?
Candybee
I've never sprayed alcohol on my soap-- with the exception of M&P. Now if you could spray your batch with alcohol and it will make it hold its color I would do it all the time!BTW-- the yellow is now a brownish tan. It looks totally different from the pictures. Its discolored brown with blueish swirls. [sigh]
Scented
I've been doing the spraying and thinking it's holding color better but want to be sure it's not me losing my mind.
