BPP
I am experimenting...I am blending 25% 464 with 75% 4630.6 oz. tin with 2.8 inch diameter. No Dye/FO.44-32z.Has anyone blended these waxes with success? What were your results? What wick brand/sizes? rjdaines
I use that mix all the time, HTP wicks work the best for me. Some people use zincs with a lot of success but I prefer the HTPs.
Faerywren
I use this blend. Used to do 10oz 464 and 6 oz 4630 per pound but eventually changed to an easier 50/50 ratio. I use CD wicks with great results.
lioness11
I like to use this blend too. Perfect results every time. Great Scent throw. CD and ECO's work for me depending on fragrance. HTH!
rjdaines
I use HTP, CD, and ECO wicks with the 4630/464 blend depended on the container.
BPP
6 oz. tin with 2.8 inch diameter. No Dye/FO.HTP 73 didn't work that good. Wasn't even close to the edges after 3rd 3 hour test burn. It still had 1/4 inch hangup.44-32z worked great!I'm going to test CD 2.
lsbennis
I love this blend, I have best results with zinc wicks.
BPP
Since 44-32z had great results...it hit the edges on 3-4 3 hour test burns.I could do a 44-28z?

It was way to small.I'm sticking with 44-32z. And that's my final answer.
BPP
Does this blend need to cure 25% 464 and 75% 4630?If so, about how long?

Faerywren
I tried CD 2 and 3.They were to small. You're going to have to start with a CD 8 for a 2 inch container using soy wax. A CD 6 would be recommended for this diameter, but you would want to wick up using soy or one pour paraffin.

BPP
I use HTP, CD, and ECO wicks with the 4630/464 blend depended on the container.I now know what you mean by "depend on the container".I'm testing 8 oz. tin with 3.1 inch diameter.I started with HTP 83.I figured since HTP 73 worked in 6 oz. tin an 83 would work in 8 oz. tin.But no It did not. Now I'm testing HTP 93.
BPP
At what % of 464 mixed with 4630 would zinc wicks not work anymore?
Linda R
Has anyone made melts out of this mix? I was thinking of making a 50/50 mix, 10% FO. I’d like any feedback 🙂
NightLight
Too soft for melts! Two container waxes. You can buy parasoy pillar wax and that’s what you want. If you really want to use the two waxes you will have to add stearic acid or candeillia, carnauba or beeswax to make it firmer and to shrink.
