  1. Thats the response from a tester (who uses party lite) about one of my melts. How do you think that is? Would you consider that a success? I have a garbage burner that burns hot and heavy in the scent department, so I have no experience burning all day.
  2. WOOOO! I'm so happy to hear this! I just made an order and decided to get 4 oz of it, and I know it was between this and another coffee related scent! I'm so glad I stuck with this one! Can't wait to get it now!!!
  3. I did 50/50 4627 and 4786. The throw is amazing, hot and cold but they are hard to get out of the clamshell. They won't crack when I bend them, so I have to run a butter knife along the lines and they'll pop out. Less than convenient. I'm going to try a little less 4627. I did do 464 and 4627 50/50 and it smells wonderful and is a breeze to get out!
  4. I just made bliss last night and it's so 'soapy' to me. :s. I'm not a fan, but maybe ht is better than cold??
  5. Oh ya, no lack of excitement here! I just LOVE smellies! I have been a b&bw addict for awhile but their expensive hit or miss candles had me yearning for something more! I don't even say hi to the hubby when he walks in, I ask him if he could smell this day's melt, lol!
  6. Do you mean REAL cookie crumbs? As a consumer, I wouldn't want that in my melter! What about toppings made out of actual wax?
  7. That is so, so cute! I hope your cake is tasty and that 27 treats you well! Happy Birthday!
  8. Oooh, I'm going to have to try that! I bought so many samples, it's embarrassing! Amish harvest is amazing. I love it. I also mixed graham cracker, dark chocolate, toasted marshmellow with a smidge of camp fire and it's soooo tasty smelling! I don't think I have the strength to let it cure for any amount of time, lol!
  9. I'm so, so pumped! I had to wait so long to get my wicks (I'm in Canada) so I decided to try making melts. I LOVE melts and fragrance oils so I don't know why I didn't start here anyways! I have been really enjoying my scents. I wanted some feedback, so I sought out some local testers! Well, the feedback is amazing! One lady said her husband was searching the kitchen for the baked goods because the Baggie the melts were in, was on the counter! . Another lady said the zucchini bread has her drooling as it burns! I'm so excited! I'm pretty lucky to have found an amazing mix of waxes (I'm not one to listen and play with just one lol!) so quickly! Well, I DID do a ton of research before I started. Interest=obsession for me! I also dipped my first bear last night and he's so, so cute! I'm going to put him in my baby's room and make some for gifts for my friend! I hope to get into candles eventually now that my wicks are actually here, but I don't kow if I can stop pouring melts! :lipsrseal
  10. If the critters aren't scraggles, does it still work fine? My wholesaler has first and main bears, etc, but some weren't the scraggles and I love them. Lol!
  11. The icy peppermint mix one smelled divine! I had to whip it up STAT and it just screams winter! I really want to get some other opinions on it! I'll have to carry a tart in my purse and get people to sniff it, lol. Sadly my friends here didn't even know what a tart warmer was! *shock*
  12. Oooooooh, I found a tester of Amish quilt!! I think I'll pour some melts tonight!
  13. I saw these on pinterest and I MUST make one! An adult sized one! I have NO clue where to start. There's a tute on etsy that I'll likely buy when I'm ready. I've never made a quilt (well, other than rag quilts!) so I have no clue how tough it'll be! :embarasse
  14. I'm so excited to finally be mixing some scents! I have a ton of baggies fermenting right now with an abundance of mixes! I've cheated and sniffed a couple before letting them mix very long...Icy peppermint, Frosty pines & Gingerbread is smelling quite interesting and pleasing! I've also got Roasted coffee, eggnog and Granny's pie crust together, thinking along the lines of Mrs. Claus, LOL! Although if I was she, I'd probably have some sort of rum scent in there with all the waiting around she does for Santa!
  15. My first instinct was a light blue!m silvery blue would be nice too!
  16. I've used the search but can't find much. I bought a few of these: http://www.cierracandles.com/leaf-wax-melt-mold.html Can I spray with something to get the tarts out easier? How do you clean them? (one batch left some residue on the bottom of one leaf). I ended up putting it in the freezer for a bit and pushing them out, I just get nervous pushing too hard on the bottom of the mold...I don't want to pop the plastic inwards, ruining the mold! I guess silicone is a lot easier to work with, eh? (but come on, how stinkin' cute is that?!)
  17. I made some yesterday (first time making tarts) heating to 180, pouring at 150 and they look beautiful. I did straight 4786, a batch with 50/50 4786-464 and a batch with 50/50 4786-4627 (comfort blend). They all look flawless. I did follow some advice I found on here to pour to almost overflowing. They shrunk up a bit and look great. Can't wait to test burn.
  18. I don't understand why they send them damp??? Definitely not worth it if they are going to arrive misshapen! Sad, because I was holding off ordering jars to see if these would be workable.
  19. I FINALLY got around to pouring tonight! It's been a long wait! My poor baby boy (10 months old) got pneumonia and was hospitalized last weekend for a couple days. . So now he's on the mend and I can take a breath and do something fun! Phew! I am trying out some clamshells and some of the new leaf mold that I just got! It's so cute! I whipped up Amish harvest (oh my goodness, does that ever smell fabulous!) apple pumpkin souffle and zucchini bread. Theyre all amazing! Amish harvest has my house smelling just divine though! I can't wait to test them out!
  20. I was playing with wax while I wait on my wicks and did dipped TP. I chose a scent that I liked but wasn't my most favourite. I saved the bottle but the tossed it during cleanup...but shoot! It smells amazing and I cannot remember what it was! I bought about 1800 different scents, and unless I want to go through all my orders and check the scents off one by one...I'm out of luck! It's like this marshmellow sweet but not sickening bakery meets candy scent. Darn it! At least my washroom smells divine!
  21. Thank you!! I was sure there were going to be some limits, just couldn't find where. Thanks again!
