Hey, depending on where you get them....you can get soy embeds and scented ones too! Forgot to add: I have only used paraffin scented embeds with my candles....not sure how paraffin and soy would be together...wouldn't think it would affect the soy as some waxes are mixed...but FO's...if you have more unscented embeds then scented soy...I would think it would make your candle have less throw

Gross!...LMAO If they are like the tapers I saw...as they burn...the red wax inside runs down the side of the candle and it makes it look like its bleeding. I saw skulls at WalMart... if I wanted a "bleeding" candle...I would go for a halloween shape not a plain pillar but a lady who contact me is having a halloween party and wants 6 - 10 of these. So far I have made the red inter candle...now just waiting for it to dry before I start dipping it in white. I will have to post some pictures of these if it turns out!!

Thanks! I think I am going to get the dragons blood even if I dont use it on the candle....I just need to know now what it smells like...lol Going to be doing some testing today...I'm just not sure if I am going to be able to get it to "bleed"

Couple questions: I had a request for a pillar candle that "bleeds" for halloween. Has anyone ever made one? I have seen tapers in stores...red candles dipped in white....so much that you can't really see the red inside...I'm just wondering how hard this is going to be...lol...and if it would even look good as a pillar instead of a taper?? Scents...I thought about NG's Dragon Blood...though I have heard of it...never smelled it though...is it good?? Really isnt much there to go by as far as smell like whatever.

Maybe check your credit card statement....sometimes you get a phone number with a name. Kinda strange that nothing at all is coming up about that company...most of the time even if a site is down or whatever....you still get something in the search. Figured I would get into this since I make food shaped candles...lol... I have a Pizza scent and it is NASTY!!! Smells just like pizza though it just makes me sick. Lets see...last month I would have to say was my "strange" scent month. I was asked for Bacon, Chicken, Ham, Steak, Mashed Potatoes (I have seen this some where) and Lettuce...and I can't remember what else...but it was all by the same person....course I don't carry those scents. I have seen Beer Scent some where.

What about doing a layered candle...each in a different scent and call it grandma's house? I have never tried it....so honestly can't say it would work.

I like it...very pretty!!! I swear I can almost smell it!!! Someone needs to invent a scratch and sniff computer screen...so we can smell everyones candles!!!

Okay....so far NO luck in my area! I even posted on our Community online board and no one has a clue either. 1st...I want to thank everyone for the easy to start with soap recipes! Once I got over being scared to death of the lye (lol)...I'm fine now and about to make my second batch! My question is....how long do I let it dry before I rebatch? I made my 1st batch on Sunday....I didnt add scent or colors...so use to rebatching I forgot...lol...so I took it out of my homemade shoe box mold and cut it yesterday....I have it drying on a rack right now.

Okay....didn't find anything good....they had citric acid but not in the bulk buys they do...it was pre-packaged...can;t remember the name on it now....but it was near the canning supplies at almost $2 a pound. They had liquid citric acid too....near the candy making supplies....I did find ALOT of flavored oils, powdered soy and goats milk. I think tomorrow I will take a look around for some chem. stores!!
