  15. Good afternoon I got my sample kit in the mail today and it came with 40 different kind of RRD wicks. they are 6' and range from size 29,34,47,55. I went on Candlewic web site and found their recommendations for the 29 and 47 size wick but not the others. My question is has anyone heard of these wicks? I have searched the forum and also the archieves and nothing.
  16. I know right! Im not sure which is gonna be more addictive making candles or reading, learning, and posting to the forum lol

  18. no I was going to use hot glue to stick the wicks, is that a bad idea? I read somewhere that you could use clothespin , is that a bad idea?
  19. that should be 4packs of sample wicks..not candles sorry, @ Beth so what do you think? @ Sharon in KY I thought it was a good deal it gives me a small variety to test. along with this I purchased 3 FO which wasnt bad either...it was the shipping cost that was quite scarey!

I quess I can get that at HL and test to see if I like it....:yay:
  22. im sorry I havent posted the pictures yet, it seems I have misplaced my usb cord(or was it my 22,21,or 12yr old?) but as soon as I locate it(in one of their rooms im sure) I will post the pictures..OAN I am buring again this morning same candle. I wouldnt consider it a legit test because I dont know the specifics like the type of wax(HL 100%soy), wick (generic 3inch HL) ,weight of the total candle, how hight the flame burns..this was made before I found you guys. lol
  23. OK I MADE THESE CANDLES WITH SOY FLAKES FROM HL, THE FO WAS TANGERINE EO 1oz AND VANILLA FO .5oz. I made them last Tuesday and after read the post on curing I let the last 3 sit, I lit one yesterday and it had a CT but not a HT at all. SOOOOOOOOOOO today I just lit another and quess what? YOU GOT IT I have a HT after buring for 1 hour the MP is not bad either.:yay:Ok I just wanted to share that with you guys...I cant wait to get my supplies I love this testing and the waiting to see what I get !
  24. Stella I agree with Clueless, You and Beth are very helpful and I cant leave out dcroome2005. These are just a few I have encountered Im sure there are many more here that will be a great help also. I was reading post back from 2005-2007 and people were really mean, (not all) but alot to the point the Moderator had to close some of the post. So I want to personally thank all of you and I am not looking for a hand out, just knowledge and us "wax Drips" will put in the work..lol I love saying WAX DRIP!! with that being said thank you all again to the start of our journey
