i noticed that too with accusoy 10 the cold throw was poor but the hot throw was good. i also smelled some sort of popcorn oil smell that over powers the fragrance. it was pretty the way it burned though sort of more transulcent.
Hi fellow Candlers I have wicks for sale $5 dollars each. I would be happy to do a trade on any of these for some lx 21's and lx 22's 100 RRD 40's 92 RRD 50's 92 RRD 55's 100 ECO 10's 100 EC0 12 100 LX -24 100 LX 26
how was wicking accu-soy 10? I've been using ecosoya 135 for years. Did you ever use cd wicks or cdn wicks with it or rrd's? Also did you find you had to wick up or down in comparision to cba? PEte from the company said he uses zinc with it which is unusual to work in soy??
Have any of you have to wick up on the Blackberry Sage from Peaks with a plum colored candle dye. I find with a 3" diameter at 6% fragrance load in Ecosoya 135 I have to use a CDN 22. I'm not sure if it is the fragrance or the dye. I love the scent though.
Did anyone find out how well the new WU cotton wicks work in soy? I am working with about a 2.75 -3 diameter container and am using Ecosoya 135. Any recommendations on which one of those wicks will work well for that size?
I have found a little trick for wet spots. After you pour the candles and the wax starts pulling away and leaving the wet spot put your candle in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes and most of the wet spot comes off.
Does anyone here use candlewic soy 125? Do you like it? If so how is the scent throw cold and hot? How are the wet spot and frosting issues? Thanks, Ellen
