  1. I was able to find rubber gloves for washing dishes that were heat resistant and along with a pair of rubber gloves inside am unable to feel any heat through them. I live in Canada so I can't give you any suggestions where to look for them, I bought mine at a big box store, but it is a Canadian company only. Pam F
  2. I live in Canada but when I was at Costco last week they had a large package of them in the Christmas section. Pam F
  3. This is just a thought, but what about using household silicone on the outside of the mold to see if it would hold. I use the clear silicone and bath silicone to hold in my wicks like a lot of other people and it would with stand the heat from the mold. Pam F
  4. I bought a bottle of this, and don't care for it either. I don't get a cleaner smell with it, but I find that it has a candy smell to it, seems very sugary. Smells nothing like the lavender I have growing in my garden. Pam F
  5. Canwax have the lids for the flower pot votive jars. Look under containers and packaging and you will find them under jars and holders. Pam F
  6. Have you checked out Canwax they have some different sizes available. Pam F
  7. Thanks for the help, but I don't need them. I have a whole bunch of 5 watt bulb, I thought the ones that I had were 7 watts it pays to look at the packaging. Now I will look for 7 watt bulbs instead. I wish that we had craft store like the two listed in Canada, but only have a Michaels around here, and I find that they don't have much of a selection of anything. Thanks for the help Pam
  8. I have couple of silicone molds that I need 5w bulbs for, does anybody know a good source for them. TIA Pam F
  9. I have had nothing but excellent customer service from BCN. I had purchased some bears from them one time and had received the wrong one. I sent them an e-mail explaining the situation, I was shocked when they phoned me about my problem and fixed it with no difficulties. I purchase a lot of supplies from them and couldn't be happier. Pam F
  10. The two Canadian suppliers that I use are. Pritchard Packaging located in Ottawa and Creative Bag in Missasauga. Pritchard Packaging prices are a lot better then Creative bags. www.pritchard.com www.creativebag.com Hope this is of some help Pam F
  11. Have you checked out Village Craft and Candle they have both the Tiki and Buddha molds. They are 2 piece plastics molds, I don't know the quality of them as I have never use them. I know when I saw their different plastic molds in their store that I beleive that they were from Pourette at the time, but seeing as Pourette is now closed they could be a different supplier now. Pam F
  12. They have closed their business, and no longer have a website. Pam F
  13. They are really easy to clean out, all I do is soak them in a dish pan of hot soapy water, then I rinse them out well with clear water and set them to dry. The residue is gone and they are nice and clean. Pam F
  14. I use 4786 for my tealights with a cotton core wick 13-342 with excellent results get no hang up with this combination. To stick my tabs to the base of my tealight I use a small amount of silicone which doesn't raise it up to much, so I don't have any residue in the bottom of my candle. Hope this helps Pam F
  15. I guess I shouldn't have put Fed-ex in in my reply as I have never dealt with them. My packages usually come UPS, and the one time that my package was delivered and they forgot to collect my brokerage fees they sent me a bill for them. Pam F
  16. I use 4786, which is a hard container wax. Excellent scent throw. Pam F
  17. Even if you put the value of the product that you are shipping, the receiver rarely has to pay a fee when they pick up the order. Even you have to pay a fee with Canada Post it is a 5.00 fee and sometimes the taxes on the product. But with all the parcels that I receive via Canada Post that originated in the States there has only been 1 time that I had to pay any extra fees. Pam F
  18. When you are shipping from the states to Canada via UPS or Fed-ex. The person who is receiving the item has to pay the brokerage fees. Pam F
  19. I don't have a website of my own yet. But as a customer I really like to use Paypal, and don't like the option of only being able to use my credit card for doing purchases. I actually think twice before ordering something if the Paypal feature isn't there I like the Instant transfer method of payment with them. This is just my opinion as a customer I don't know what it's like from a business perspective. Pam F
  20. I find with my silicone molds, that you need to tap the sides of them to get rid of tiny bubbles. When you tap the side of mold you will see the tiny bubbles come to the surface and pop. The other night I made a silicone mold candle and when I demolded it is was covered in tiny air bubbles. I made another one last night and when I poured it, I took my stir stick and stirred the wax around in the mold. When I took it out of the mold there were absolutely no air bubbles and was so glossy looking. Hope this helps. Pam F
  21. You are right about both being awesome suppliers I get a lot of my supplies from both places, as my sister lives in Kitchener and saves so much on shipping when I pick up suppliers when I go to visit her. I looked at VCC candle retreat but decided not to go, have you ever been there before? Maybe next year. Pam F
  22. Yes I do make all my votives with 4786, it usually comes out of the molds easily if not I just stick in the fridge for a little while and they slide right out. I have had many positive comments on my votives, because of the scent through, one customer stated these only candles that I can still burn and smell after having them a year. Pam
  23. Sorry I forgot to put in 4786 Pam F
  24. I will let you know how the pop out of the melters. I have some votives that I have to top off tonight and was going to see how they worked in clamshells myself, it would be great if it worked because I find that I always have some wax left over when I pour my votives and don't know what to do with it, so it justs ends up sitting around.
