  1. Obviously wants to know, how to have a banner link to your website. Che Tipos lyke me...... so back off. BTW haven't a clue:wink2: BUT I know if you do a banner search, there are a few peeps on the board who do this sort of thing......
  2. As far as the melts go...... I know you have stated before that scented candles are not quite the rage in Italy as they are here in the states. Are the burners going to be hard for people to find or are they readily available? If not, you might want to sell them on your site;)
  3. Hi All, A new wholesale account I have is looking for votives. I only make them in glass containers(which make the price point a little high for what she wants), but told her I might be able to help her find someone who makes just the votives. As, I have some resources:wink2: These would be for a Floral/Gift Shop in ILL. What she is looking for is individual wrapped votives, preferably that come packaged in a display box. If you do something like this please PM me. A website to look at would be great or a picture of the product. I will only send her info on very professional products. My line is so NOT country, but I'm not sure if this matters. Maybe if I had someone who does country and one not to point her towards..... obviously it's her business, so she would choose which she like best. She is very nice a pays up front with CC.... no net 30:wink2:
  4. Research, research, research!!! I found places in OH that were more than Candle Science in NC.... which is where I order from now. Also BCN is only a state away from me..... and way more than CS. I guess it depends on how much you are ordering.........
  5. Any free samples going out this door have to provide a tax Id number and and address and phone number for a storefront.....(which we check) No exceptions!! Usually though, we get calls, and I can actually talk to the buyer, get their info.... anyone who just contacts through the website, we have a wholesale package set up...... after we get their tax ID, they can purchase a sample pack. Money is not refunded upon ordering..... IF it is a big account I will send free samples.... but only after all mentioned above is confirmed..
  6. From what I can see/read, this is a VERY bitter person. She gets OFF on coming to the board and going off on people. Makes her feel superior in some way. She sounds like a therapist's DREAM!! I read one post from her today (praising soap from a couple of members here) and that is the only time I can ever remember anything positive in a post from her...... From what I can see, she is like a horrible virus.... wipe your 'puters and keyboard down with some lysol after you read her post, just to make sure the scum does not stick to you. BTW... I've also seen her website.... Yawn, yawn and double yawn. Not someone I'd take advice from in ANY FORM, ANYWAY!!!!
  7. Candle Science carries it, and so far their shipping has been the best for me.... Even one state away charges more than CS.... How much do you need? I may be able to help or you might try the Classies...
  8. They look great.... hope you drank the wine afterwards:D
  9. I was having the same problem with certain FO's. Then some would be clear and then turn cloudy in the store or when shipped if they got "cold". Doesn't affect the product in any way but consumers don't like the milky appearance and store owner hate clear sprays next to cloudy ones (which I get). Here's I solved the problem... Aluminum spray bottles. Problem solved!
  10. Ok.... making a body spray for an upcoming swap, have never used mica, but I have to make something "sparkly". How much mica should I use? Any help would be appreciated! TIA
  11. I guess it would depend on how many stores there are in the area..... don't want to shot your foot off by saying 5 miles...... because for some, they don't want to travel that far.... I guess the way we have worked it is by the size of the town/city..... the bigger ones we will give whatever street they are on to ( to a certain blockage, if it is a big, thriving city/town)..... smaller we work in block radius..... There is a city we would really like to get into, but it is many blocks of tourist trade and this one store wants absolute rights to our products, otherwise, no go....... we said NO and are not there yet but figure we will be at some point, AND have more products in and a bit more control. YES we have probably given up quite a few sales, but we are trying to let this company know ( semi-big for the area) we are not some little mom and pop operation that can be messed with:yay: They need to know we are a serious professional Corp. Everyone stand up for your right as true craftspeople and don't take sh*t for wholesale offers..... we have a fantastic product and they can love it or leave it. I've got plenty of business and have no problem saying "no"..... by the way this brings them back...... Anyway, sorry for the rant but I say a minimal is best.....maybe 3 max... Can't ask for 10 or so ...... unless they are ordering $1,000 plus a month...
  12. Lack of response may be people just thinking you'd understand basic color mixing... like we all learned in elementary school... red and blue make purple, so if you add some red to that violet and play with it, would probably reach close to a Fuschia. As far as Peach goes, red and yellow make orange, so very small amounts of each could get you close to a peach. Of course if you are doing a show or something, the colors will not be consistent with what you had before.... and then once you use new dye there is that pesky testing factor. You can google colorwheel and get online colorwheels that can be helpful. Good luck.... PS People don't usually respond if they don't have definite answer or if it is something a candlemaker would have to trial and error for themselves (which I think this is) AND if you go getting impatient as to the lack of quick response to a question asked, THE NATIVES GET TESTY:shocked2: Just an FYI
  13. Just Scents is good and they ship fast.... mine always tends to cloud, but I now use an aluminum bottle so it doesn't matter....
  14. EZ Soy..... hmmmm, the name makes me laugh because nothing about this is easy..... AND yes it is Golden Brands 415, so you might be able to find it cheaper:cool2:
  15. Lol...... Sorry scented, just tickled my funny bone:D
  16. If you want to make them for X-Mas, Gordons Food has the pre-cut christmas cookie shapes... I think 10 bucks for a box of 72...... then you just bake. I'd think that would be worth it!!
  17. WOWZERS!!! Total soap porn there!
  18. I think anyone who does tins uses the seamless... I know I do.... If you need some to try out, do a ISO on the Classys....
  19. Irish Hills or Hillary Hills....lol 4 leaf Clover Shamrock
  20. Try the chemistry store..... plus they have lots of other goodies to buy.... then you only pay shipping once:D
  21. Well I hope they get something fairly close.... maybe they just told me that so people wouldn't bug them about a timeline......
