  1. I agree Satin, the stuff I have in mine is also dried and the lights barely get warm. I have used it each year since she has given it to me with no problems. I may not make them to sell but I do love mine.:smiley2: Angied
  2. Not a problem and Merry Christmas to you and your family as wellsanta chee Angied
  3. Hi, once again I am new at this but I think, hey why not. I mean to me it would give the person a way to be able to smell the scent atleast with the cold throw. I say whatever is easiest and cheapest for you then go for it:smiley2: Actually do you have the mini muffin pans? You could use those for you molds. Just melt your wax and add scent and then pour into the molds. Angied
  4. Donna, Also as far as the crayons go, you can get some liquid dyes for soaps at place like Micheals and Joanne Fabrics, they arent as good as other suppliers but they are better than crayons. I mean just try play around with, just starting out that is. HTH Angied
  5. Maybe if you are really concerned you can just string the lights on the handle just for looks?? Dont know. Like I said I guess its the same as anything else you just have to be careful. Angied
  6. Well as far as my basket goes, my MIL didnt put oils on the potpourii she just put it in the basket with the pine cones, I have just taken it out each year and put new in. I dont know if that matters any but I have never had any problems, but like with everything else I guess you just have to be carefull. Angied
  7. Hi Cyber, Yes a tealight is just alittle candle, usually come with a wick but I would think you can make it without just to get the scent. Angied
  8. I have really done this before but from what I have heard, how about tealights as samples? Maybe even if you dont wick them just make them like the tarts that way she can get the smell and it doesnt take alot of your wax or scent. And that way your not out alot of money if you give them to her for free or if she doesnt buy any. Hopefully some one will have a better answer though:tongue2: HTH Angied
  9. That is so cool. Crockpot isnt really that hard (I have only done it twice myself but it was fairly easy) Just dont walk away from the pot for too long otherwise it kinda bubbles over I had that happen to me the first time around:tongue2: . 18. Hi Cara, Well from what I have read (little as it may be) the liquid par is best for what I am doing. I didnt put any water in my scrub just oils. So that would be best for that right? Didnt figure I would find it off line...great another thing for my hubby to gripe about;) and to think this all started with me wanting to make some tarts....now soap, lotions, scrubs....lord there is too much and I want to do it all:yay: one step at a time though. It is so much fun though. Thanks for your help Angied
  19. Cara, From what I have been reading it sounds like that stuff is the best...if I am understanding this right it can be used in alot of things. Is the only place you can get this stuff online? I mean I know walmart probably doesnt sell it but didnt know if there was another place that carries stuff like that. I guess if I am going to make any more I may need to order some. Angied
  20. Thanks Carrie that helps because I wasnt even sure of the names of those things/:highfive: Angied
  21. Hi folks, I made some body scrub for me the other night just a really simple basic recipe. I was reading where you need to put preservatives in it. I would like to make some more (this is just for me and maybe my family I dont sell any of this...I just like to play) So my questions are, what kind of preservatives do I need and where do I find this stuff? Thanks Angied
  22. Hi, Never really had that happen so I am kinda guessing here...maybe rub alittle baby oil on her paws and then kinda comb it out. Or rub an ice cube on it to make it harder and then comb it out?? Sorry i couldnt be more help, maybe someone else will have a better idea. Angied

Its fun to do though. I have made some for my family and hubby's and also some for the girls at work, but for right now I am just playing around and I love it:yay: Angied
