  4. Hi folks, Can you tell me the difference between refined and unrefined shea butter? Is one better than the other? I have some of the shea oil (thanks cindym:) but I thought about maybe getting some of the butter. Also one more question for you...I found some on ebay, is there a cheaper place to get it? Ebay has 1/2 unrefined for $4.99 plus shipping, what do you think? Thanks Angied

  8. Can I ask a dumb question?santa emba What is a lotion bar? I dont mean to sound stupid but reading on this board is the first time I have ever heard of it. I am assuming its lotion in solid form??? Is it better than regular lotion? Ok so maybe that was more than one dumb question;) but you never know unless you ask right. Thanks Angie

  19. Hi, Well I am still new to this but as of last week I cut my list down to 25 with an additional 10 holiday only scents. I have alot more that I do for friends and family but most of my customers (i dont have a candle business just a hair salon that i own and sell in) most of them felt like when i had more that it was too hard to choose from. I would love to have all the scents if nothing else just for me:yay: . Angied
  20. Breanna, I have really liked doing the crockpot soap. It is really easy. I have posted a pic of some I did....and just made another batch. The recipe is really simple and its using stuff you can get at you local store. It is bunny's recipe....it just uses coconut oil, olive oil, lard, water, and lye. Check it out!!!! HTH Angie
  21. Hi KJohnsn, I had made crockpot soap and it is really easy. I used bunnys recipe. It depends on how big of a batch that you want but I recommend that you start off with a 2# batch. Here is the recipe I used to begin with: 5oz- Coconut oil 22oz-Olive oil 5oz-Lard 8-12oz-water 4.32oz-Lye If you have a crockpot it is really easy. Go to the Bath and body and tech. for the instructions on how to do it. HTH Angied
  22. Well guys I checked it this morning and guess what.....it did set up:yay: It was hard enough to get out of the mold and cut. So I cut it up and am letting it set out to dry some. When I made the batch I had some over-flow in the crockpot so it wasnt as deep as I wanted but it looks good and I will post some pics later. Thanks for everyones help. I guess the bigger the batch and using the wooden mold, I just have to learn to be more patient. Thanks Again Angie
  23. Thanks TexasBrat, hopefully your right. Keep your fingers crossed for me:smiley2: Angied
  24. Hi Cindy, Yes is is kinda clear looking and still warm. I put the lid on and put it in the oven. I guess I will wait until in the morning and see what it looks like then. I guess last batch was smaller and it didnt take this long...plus I am not the most patient person. Thanks for your response and your help:smiley2: Angied
