  1. I have a friend that asked me about this scent: calle casablanca lily by Martha Stewart. I have not heard about this one before and I am not familiar with her line. Does anyone make dupes of her candles or heard of this fragrance? I haven't started my search on it yet but I will be doing this. Wanted to check in with you here to see if maybe anyone uses this and could tell me how close what you use would come to this scent and where to get it. TIA!
  2. Thank you ladies! I love both of these scents so wanted to hear from anyone who might have tried them. I used to buy the White Barn candles in sweet cinnamon pumpkin all the time but now that I live so far from the mall I don't make it in to buy them. I appreciate the responses!
  3. I was looking at the sale they are having this weekend so, I am just wondering if any of you use these oils and what you think of them? I use GB 415 so if anyone can tell me anything about these oils and what you think I would appreciate it! Apple Pie Apple Cinnamon Frosted Snowdrops Midnight Pomegranate Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin TIA
  4. Dang, wish I would have known that! Looks like that will be where I get them next time! Thanks for letting me know! The ones I got are the same on the inside also but, would rather order them from papermart! How many tarts can you fit in the 1/2 lb bags or is this the size you use?
  5. I'm with everyone else on this one. I've tried them both and get the better HT with the 135 but I have went back to the Ez-soy. I like the ez-soy better than the others!
  6. Do you use these for tarts? If so, how many can you fit in one of the half lb size bags? My tarts are the .8 oz size, the fluted edges, I guess that are what most of us use. I did some searching online of these bags too and found them for $16.95 for 100 of the 1/2 lb size with windows of the kraft brown bags so ordered me some. If you want the link to the site let me know.
  7. Thanks! Those are exactly what I am looking for. Do they have smaller sizes than the 1/2 lb bags? I really don't know what size I would need but just wondered if these are the smallest available.
  8. I know that some of use the paper bags with the windows on them for your votives and tarts and I think these look really nice. Can someone tell me where they get theirs at? I would like to look into getting some so I can fit more tarts in a bag than I am currently getting with the poly pro bags. TIA!
  9. I loved this wax when I first started making candles. I used it for many years before I noticed that something had changed with it. My CT and HT both were not at all what they used to be. I'm not sure what the temps were now that I poured or anything b/c I have been using soy for the past 3 years now rather than the joy. I know that the Joy was not performing for me like it had in the past when I stopped using it. I loved the way the candles looked once they were finished as well as how they burned. I used an ounce of FO pp also but the last 3 cases I had of this wax I could barely smell a thing when I would burn my candles and I even let them sit for weeks before I would burn them hoping that they would cure to give me a stronger HT.
  10. grama, vicky and soapdiva I just joined your groups/became a fan! If you want to join either fan or group of mine and haven't the link is in a previous post! I think this is a great way to get our stuff out for others to see!
  11. Exactly Maggie! When I made the tarts with Joy the packaging was horrible! The tarts would go in the bags but, they left steaks of colored wax on the sides. When I would put them in the box or basket, several different packages, they would be so soft that they would "mush" and "squish". The tarts wouldn't stay formed like they had to begin with. I didn't have so much trouble getting them to release from the molds when I would put them in the freezer but the end result was not what I was looking for in a tart.
  12. I used this wax for a long time until they started changing it, then I found it to be way too inconsistent for me. I liked it for many years of using but, like I said, when it changed I stopped. I tried making tarts with it but I felt like they were too soft for what I wanted them to be. When I had used this wax before I liked the creamy, buttery texture and the way the candles I made burned. I used it for my container candles after trying it in tarts and not liking the softness of them. Not sure if this helps you out any or not but, thought I would tell you my experience with this.
  13. Thanks Kim! I might have to give them a try! I'm looking for something easy but was hoping for a shopping cart feature also but, I will look into this more. BTW, your site looks very nice!

  15. I was just wanting to know if any of you had tried Vista Print to set up a website thru them? If you have, have you had good results or what do you think of them?
  16. Thanks! I'm just kind of looking around now for a good one so will buy a few samples of it here and there and see which one I like best for now. Thanks again!
  17. I don't get out much like I used to and when I made a stop in at B&BW I fell in love with their midnight pomegranate. I noticed that KY has this and some other dupes of B&BW's I want to try. Anyone tried this one from there and if so what do you think about it? I would be making this in candles using ez-soy. Also, if you can tell me about their other dupes for B&BW that woud be great too. I don't stick with just one supplier but I thought I might try some from here and wanted to see what others thought of them. I searched using the fragrance but didn't come up with much specifically by this supplier! Thanks!
  18. Thanks Camay! I thought they looked about the same but since I forgot to get them and they don't have lids on them now I wanted to see if maybe I could use the lids I had! Appreciate the answer!
  19. I am just wondering if the lids for the 8 oz. jelly jars will fit on these? I found some the other day that I meant to pick up out at my in laws but forgot to get them. My MIL told me to take them and use them for candles if I wanted to. They are new jars but don't have lids and I have a ton of extra jj lids around here. If these lids will fit on them I might give them a go some time.
  20. Good luck with whatever you decide. I hope it turns out for you if you go for it.
  21. We have taken people a few times with having rental property and have won on all of the cases. There has only been this last time that we haven't been able to collect and of course it was the worst damage and highest amount we have been awarded. It has been worth it to us to do it but, it is a little time consuming and frustrating to say the least. Not to go into the boring details of our experiences, we have had to go thru the garnishment process in all of them. Here we can file the expenses of doing this. On this last case, the woman was claiming head of household even tho her husband owns a business and has income....quite a bit of it at that. They are on public assistance which we didn't know about until after it was all said and done so they are also frauding the system. Since we could only try to garnish her wages she didn't make enough with some formula they use on income so we couldn't get anything from her. We took the next step and tried to garnish the bank account and again she was able to block that. Now we can't find an attorney here that is willing to take the case to try to get the money for us. I know we could use the extra $3000 it is now up to but, basically for now we are screwed with getting it. Like I said, the other times we were able to collect on the debt but this last time we got the door slammed on us with every way we tried to collect.
  22. I just double checked and BC instructions say mix 1 part FO to 2 or 3 parts dpg. Those are the instructions I have went by. I guess I should tweak it a little and see what results I will get. Thanks for the suggestions on this! I am off to try a couple of the scents I have this way and will see what happens when it is done!! Thanks again to all!!
  23. I may have to try the 50/50 mix and see if that works better. I was doing the 2 to 1 like the instructions called for on BC's site. Maybe that is why some of mine are a little weaker?? I am going to be using some sample scents I got and try a couple of them like this and see how it turns out. Thanks for all of ideas on this! grama~I'll go take a look at Flickers site and see what they are saying over there too! Thanks for the tip! Appreciate it!
  24. Thanks carol. I knew I would still have to use the dpg for EO's as well but have tried a few suppliers and not got the results I had hoped for with FO's. I've never worked with EO's before so didn't know if those would be better to use. Thanks again!
  25. I know there are several scents used to make incense and they seem to turn out pretty good, at least for me they have. I have had luck with sandalwood, nag champa, patchouli, some of the aromatherapy type scents, black cherry and a few other fruity types. I've not had much luck with florals. I love floral scents in both candles and incense. I guess what I am trying to figure out is if I should use EO's or FO's for making incense? I've not made alot of it and have never tried the EO's when making incense so was just kind of wondering what everyone else who makes it uses? I do it mainly for myself and some of my girls friends. I would like for it to be "scented" and not just smell like a burning incense stick if you know what I mean. Any advice on which way to go or if there are any of the suppliers out there that have oils that are better than others for making incense?
