Try adding some vybar. Adding more stearic will kill the mottle, but it will make the candle burn badly. It reduces the melting point so the candle will bulge.

Nothing!!!!
My new wax is only coming next week...... Woe is me!

THe only thing I don't use lot of is UA as it isn't one of my favorites, tends to cause me problems or I abuse it.
AMEN to that Sister!!!!
Can you say fingernails?!?!?!?
Mostly I just use stearic and UV, but have started to experiment with vybar and translucent crystals....

I'd like to see some background and history on some of the suppliers we have ... but then that's me.
I'll second that......

That sounds like a wonderful idea - I would definitely be interested!
I would like to see articles about the different waxes, wicks, and supplies that we chandlers use. Articles about starting a business, different tips and techniqes, and what's new and innovative in the candlemaking world......

This is probably a redundant question, but was it 220/240V? Most appliances here in the US operate on 110/120V. I know that I had problems with my european appliances when I came here and had to get rid of all those that wouldn't operate with a converter. Wasn't sure if the Presto pots were the correct voltage?!?!?

That is really odd! I use 1343 for my pillars too and have never seen this. Is this happening on all your pillars or just this color? Did you use UV? Did you change anything at all (ie: dye, stearic, UV etc from a different supplier)?
No, I pretty much used the same formula that I've always used, except I'm testing some new eco wicks. However, the ball candle is a LX wick that I always use for my balls, and it has done the same thing. I didn't use UV. One thing though, these are remelts. They were shiny, and I just didn't like the look, so I returned them to the pot for rustics... maybe that made the difference?!?!? I still can't figure out what the variable would be that would cause such a result.......
As far as whether it happens with other pillars.... It would be hard for me to tell as most of them are dark colors.

Oooooh! I like those!!! Really fun colors. Are they scented????
-
I use wooden, or plastic chopsticks.....
-
That's what it's all about...... Try it out, see how they look, and how they burn, and before you know it, you're so hooked that you feel lost when you don't have a pour pot full of wax in your hand.
Welcome to the addiction...

Welcome!!! Those are very nice candles. Love the chunks, and the colors you have chosen.
-
Gorgeous - love the way the colors blend together......
-
As far as scents go.... I would do baby powder, cotton candy, pink sugar, or a very soft floral.
I like flower pot votives......

What's the freezer method?!?!?!? She said with a goofy look on her face......

I locked the rest of the bears up in a snap lid rubbermaid container, let them try to escape.
You never heard of Beardini?!?!?!?!?
-
Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I've had the real thing
Yeah, right..... maybe you just forgot?!?!?!?
Very nice candle! Love the green and white. I have been wanting to try that scent for a long time, but I have teenagers in the house and I don't want them thinking I'm a pothead!!!!!
-
No, but I can hear the rest of the bears plotting against you......

Here is the thread.....

Those candles are great! Gotta love a cocktail......
Pardon my ignorance, but isn't 4045 a pillar wax??
-
Awesome candle - love the crackle, and it really stands out nicely with the orange. Well Done!!!!
