  1. Ok, so that means soy is heavier than paraffin. Once again, you're wonderful for sharing. Thanks.
  2. Ravens, I agree! I'm a bit worried about all paraffin tarts fully melting in so many different electric melters on the market. JKL melters are only 12 watts! I think I will have to include soy to bring down the melting point.
  3. By googling and sorting through all the environmental propaganda, I know know soy has a lower melting point!
  4. All things being as equal as possible, and IN GENERAL... (I want to mix my own tart blend and these answers would help me get started - thanks!) IN GENERAL???? Which has a lower melt point? Which weighs more for the same volume? Which has better hot throw? Which has better cold throw? Which is harder? Does either do better with certain scent families, ie, paraffin is better for florals but soy is better for vanilla or no such difference?
  5. Thanks. Interesting about the other candle vendor. I had no idea primitive was so big.
  6. To confuse you more, I feel Aroma Haven is the most realistic and fresh.
  7. I find these to be strong and accurate Blueberry Flapjacks Egyptian Dragon NG Gain Apple Mango Tango NG Gain Island Fresh Jade Vanilla Champagne Sinus Relief Snowman Balls (I renamed ) Absinthe Black Linen Amber Vamp Vogue Raspberry Cream Cupcake Blue Hawaiian If you like masculine scents, Werewolf and Animal Instinct
  8. I have quite a few NG oils but not one of these three! I'm happy with about 80% of the NG oils that I buy if that helps any (and I think those are good odds!).
  9. I know nothing about the current market for baby wipes, seems they have a zillion kinds now. Does it matter which one? Or just any unscented brand?
  10. I'll buy some Dawn. The stainless steel trick is working pretty good, too. We're a Palmolive family :rolleyes2
  11. Thanks, I tried this one and it's a good cinnamon bun but is missing that distinct "Cinnabon in the mall" aroma. I'm wondering if there is some small, local supplier I don't know about. I've tried most of the majors. I really appreciate it!
  12. Thanks. This is one I tested and it is good but not a straight up apricot. JBN really spoiled me. . Right now, it is the front runner of all I tested but I would rather not sell apricot at all than settle for the runner up.
  13. Your store is wonderful. Only $250 is a dream! Maybe someday I'll have one. You're an inspiration! Very best wishes to you.
  14. Those are some killer deals. One of them near us is closing. I'll need to take a little ride!
  15. Thank you, that must be the difference! I asked wessex what kind of wax he uses so I'll be curious if that is the difference.
  16. Love you bunches! What kind of wax as I think you pointed out in past that wax could make the weight difference. I absolutely fill to the top and the total weight, with wax and packaging, is barely 2.9 if I'm lucky. Thanks!
  17. Personally, I like clamshells but my customers like tarts. I think now that Scentsy and Walmart are hitting the market with clamshells and "educating" consumers about the world of wickless scenting, more and more customers might start turning to clamshells. Well, maybe.
  18. Welcome and good luck with your kit! Lots of great posters here and very helpful.
  19. I'm so glad you posted back. Was very, very curious. Interesting about the primitive angle. Was it crowded? Any "bigger" names there? Could you tell by the crowds what was selling and hot? Any scents that seem to be the "it" scents of the season? Thanks!
  20. Just Scents has an Effervescent Fizzy Pop that has fizzy notes and kind of berry notes so that could fit a Cherry Lemonade. Natures Garden Supply has a Mountain Dew dupe that has some fizzy to it and that could fit in with Cherry Lemonade notes. If you could find a straight 7 Up scent (seems everything is 7 Up Cake), that might help, too. Someone makes a Wholesale Supplies Plus makes a Jelly Donut.
  21. I have the Crispy Donut. I have only cold sniffed but have chosen not to test it. I didn't get a donut feel from it. I know it could be different once cured in wax. Pineapple Paradise is like fresh, real pineapple rather than canned. Rejuvenate is very pepperminty and a little sweet, not quite candy cane Pears and Berries smells like mostly apples, to me! Warm Vanilla Oak, very good Oatmeal, Milk and Honey has a subtle almond note if you like that in OMH Mediterranean Fig, very good Litsea and Basil, almost all lemon but no fuel notes! Could rename to something lemony or sunny Lavender Vanilla, I like CandleScience better Extreme Vanilla, one of the best vanillas I have found and they are hard to find! Gourmet Sugar Cookie, eh. I think I have seen this one get good reviews but just not cookie enough for me. Seaside, lovely Sweet Orange Chili Pepper, no chili pepper or heat notes, just orange. Great orange, though! Did not like Buttercream Yankee Dupe, Cotton Candy, Jelly Bean, Warm Baked Bread, or Luscious Cheesecake.
  22. Hi! Don't mean to hijack the thread but I went to your site and while there, looked at your warmers. The egg shaped electric warmers look cool but I can't figure out where you put the tart?
  23. Thanks everyone. I have tried the gloves. And tried again. Just can't do it. I don't know why but creeps me out somehow. Losing that sense of touch bothers me. I will try the stainless steel trick. My sink is stainless steel. Will look for that steel thing at Bed Bath and Beyond in the kitchen gadget section next time I'm there.
  24. I feel as though I have sampled at least 5 of each of these from various suppliers. Not happy with any of them. This is for use in wax tarts, paraffin and soy blend. I really would love a Cinnabon just like the mall Cinnabon shops, not just a Cinnamon Bun. True Bazooka, not just bubble gum. I've almost give up on Rum, I've asked before. Apricot and Lily of the Valley are new requests. I loved the Apricot from Just By Nature but that's gone and Southwest, who has taken over some JBN scents, is not carrying the Apricot. Thanks!
