  1. oh barbara thank you!! i wanna know how these things work, i wanna make one if possible lol. they are adorable! I wonder, ive seen like grubby jar candles on ebay before ya know, where they have some whipped up wax, then some embeds, then more whipped wax, and embeds. Would that burn ok? Wouldnt there be air inbetween the layers? I might have to try this lol.

  2. I saw this on a website, so cute!! Well what im wondering is...do you think that these candles just have the top part of the candle that is wax, and only that can be burned, or is it all wax? It doesnt even say on the website whether its all wax or not. I was just trying to think how one would make a candle like this, with embeds AND wax? Or do you think its only meant to burn just the top portion or something as i mentioned? What do you think. They are ADORABLE! The big pic below is of the chocolate chip marshmallow brownie one.

  3. Im not sure who was rude :o but um i guess i just dont want a mess in my fireplace, so wasnt sure if it really made a big mess, or left lots of residue in the fireplace. Sounds like it might. Maybe im wrong i dont know, i just wouldnt want find out by using them until it does cause some kind of build up, unless someone has concrete evidence that it doesnt. I think they obviously would do well for campfires though! :)

  4. Really, Im pretty sure that was one of the first ones i ordered from there and didnt care for it. Thats just my opinion though. But I think I gave it away in a trade lol. Smelled kinda dull like chapstick LOL. If that makes any sense. But, like i said...just my opinion. I am also very picky about that scent, cause its one of my FAVES! lol. I am now trying BCN wild watermelon, its better, but still not like im wanting. Maybe I will have to try the candle source's watermelon again. I am pretty sure I gave it away in a trade though.

  5. Hi everyone! I have a question about the firestarters. I have never had a fireplace til now when we moved into this house, and my BF always wants me to buy firestarters...the wood kind coated in something. Anyway I thought of making some, but does anyone have any experience in how those would work in a fireplace? Wouldnt it gum things up? I wouldnt want sloppy messy melted wax in the bottom of my fireplace. So how does that work does anyone know? I dont want to try it if its a mess lol.

  6. Ok, ive been thinking about trying handrolled cinnamon buns. Ive done them in the past, but never with the wax I use now. Its the ky votive pillar wax. Anyhow, I dont have any foil or wax paper, out right now. I usually line the bottom of the cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Anyway, do you think I could just pour the wax into the cookie sheet, and then when they are ready to slice into strips, do you think the strip would still come out ok? The foil always helped to pull the strip out with. What do you all think. I might just try it to see, but was wondering if you all think it might be too difficult to do without the foil. lol. Or has anyone else whos made the buns done it without lining the sheet with anything? Do you just pour it into the sheet? If it works for you, hopefully it will for me lol

  7. Are you talking about the sample from greenleaf? There are tons of threads on here about them, and that they have been doing there best to get the samples out. They have been overwhelmed with requests from what i hear. There are several posts by greenleaf themselves letting everyone know the status of sending out the samples.

  8. I just noticed you posted again sockmonkey lol...um nooo that wasnt even my wholesale price, i dont do wholesale. I sold her the votives at my regular price of $3.00 for a 2pk. And my boyfriend just went into the gift shop a day after they were delivered, only 5 different scents were left!! She had over 20 scents, 1 two pack in each scent! This is just the votives im talking about. Most of her order was jars. And sooo they are selling QUICKLY!

  9. I dont do gel on a regular basis, rarely have done it. However, In my opinion I dont think there will really be much scent if the gel isnt scented. Is there a reason you dont want to scent it? Also, I think you will most likely need more than 1 wick. Depending on which size pie you make. But with a 5 inch pie, just in my experience, i used three wicks. Dont remember which size now because i havent done that in a long tim, they were were zinc though. Im sure someone who actually makes these will be able to be of more help. A good place to look for a pie crust mold is www.flexiblemolds.com There are other places too, but that might be a good start if you hadnt found a place yet. Anyhow I hope that helps some! Good luck, i might have to do those pies again sometime, so cute!

  10. Ive used cd wicks in ezsoy, and i used cd12's then...as i mentioned in another post, i must have gotten a funky case or something, because ive needed a LOT bigger wicks then what ive always used. SO, im testing IGI 6006. For heavier fragrances, that the ezsoy needed real big wicks for, do you think i should start with like a cd14 in the 6006 for these? Im talking about coconut cream pie, white cake, patchouli, banana nut bread. Ezsoy worked while it worked, and now its all funky. It just needs giant sized wicks sooo....do you think cd14 is too big for the 6006? People have mentioned mostly cd12 to start with, but in my experience these certain fragrances i mentioned, seem to need bigger wicks....so what do you think in your opinions. cd 14 too big? or do you think its ok to start with. thanks!

  11. well thats why i was thinking, since i like lots of bubbles,to use the shaving base, but i didnt know if that might be more drying? It must have more in it of whatever it is that provides the extra bubbles. So i was wondering about that. Its just easier for me to do m&p. im not sure im ready to try the other types yet lol.
