  1. Hey everyone. I have eczema on my ankles that is extremely horrible. My skin there is very leathery and EXTREMELY ITCHY!!! NOTHING and i mean NOTHING i have tried as far as steriodal creams, vaseline, etc, nothing works. I am also really itchy all over my body. Does anyone have any good recipes for a lotion or body butter/cream that is extremely moisturizing and known to help with this kind of thing? Does it exsist? Desperate for help! :embarasse Sorry if i posted in wrong spot.

  2. Hello everyone. Have not posted in a long while. Wasnt sure where the right place was to post this, so hope this is the right spot. Anyway, Im testing some votives i made. I am using Ecosoya PB, and LX 14 wicks. I used 2 oz FO and 1.5 lbs of wax. Berts Candy Cane FO. I love it because it smells realistic, just like a real candy cane, when pouring. However, I have a votive lit in my bathroom for several hours and im not sure if im smelling a slight fuel type smell? Something is different while it is lit, from when just pouring it. Has anyone used this FO and did u think it smelled differently when burning? Scent throw is good, however its in a small bathroom. Also, the LX14 wicks leave some hangup, but im hoping it catches up eventually. Just wondered if anyone ever has any hangup with the LX14 in the pb wax also. Thank you!! :smiley2:

  3. He mentioned that most times they use metal cylinders that have holes in the bottom to put the sticks in, and then a top with holes in it that lets the smoke out, they use the beer bottles in times of crisis LOL. But anyway just wasnt sure if it was completely necessary or not to use the DPG, but from what im hearing i might as well, its inexpensive so thats good. Thanks!

  4. My sister in laws husband is a huge hunter and gets incense sticks already that he uses but wanted me to make them, and i was looking online that you need to mix with DPG to avoid soot and smoking but he and his buddies stick incense sticks in beer bottles and they get them in buck lure and fresh earth scents. He said it was something they used alot of, so I thought I would check into it, but didnt know if it was ok not to use the DPG. I guess im answering my question lol....if it causes more smoke than no, but if its just soot i guess that doesnt matter outdoors. All it seemed the purpose of mixing the DPG and the FO for, were to keep from excessive smoking and soot. So im confused lol

  5. What are your opinions on this...........if you are making incense for hunters to use outside in the field.....do I even need to use DPG to help it cut back on the soot and smoking? Is that an issue I need to really worry about if they are not being used indoors? What are your opinions? Thanks!

  6. It has been a very long time since Ive been around here, but I am getting back into things again and I have done the goats milk m&p in the past, and the people who have used it mention it has a good creamy lather and is moisturizing. However one of them has very dry skin and has never been able to use a soap that didnt dry her skin out. She said mine is working well but she still uses a moisturizer afterward because her skin is so dry it literally gets flaky. I was thinking could I add some avacado and or shea butter. Would that be the best choices to make it even more moisturizing for someone with such dry skin? Or does anyone know of a better option. I know I may need to try a few for her to see what works best for her, but just wondered if avacado and shea were a good start, or what oils or butters are the most moisturizing. Thank you!

  7. thats about as probable as sparks flying and landing on ANYTHING near by made of cloth. Its just common sense. Some people tend to follow it and some dont have an inch of it. Of course a warning label is there to cover yourself just in case. My point is that anything could happen with any candle, anywhere....so its just common sense. If the people that dont have common sense have that problem, well at least you had a warning label.
