  1. Thats one of the reasons why I'm testing with the CD-6 wicks was because of your thread.
  2. Yum! That sound good too! Reminds me of going to the Halloween carnivals. :-)
  3. Hi guys! Just wanted to share that I am filling orders today but also testing a new FO called Autumn Pear from LOnestar. Using 464 with a 10oz apothecary jar and two CD-6 wicks and no color. I'll let you know how that CT and HT do. I'll try to take some pics to post too. Have a great day!
  4. I've used excel before and it does have a good HT and CT but I think 464 has a lot better. I just pour at a low temp and I get decent tops. I think some people believe it is real soy that way or even expect that. Just from my experience and comments.
  5. Has anyone tried Elements new MP colorants? I use them as a supplier and I'm still deciding on which supplier I want to get my MP soap colorants from or at least most of them. So it would be great to get them from Elements since I already get other supplies there too. If anyone has used these give us a review please! Thanks! 6. SuzyK- you certainly are welcome to use any of those names that you want. I love to share if I can. Hope you have lots of customers with it! :-) Maggie- that is a good point u make. I may need to just keep the name as is. Also your customer stories are very funny. People are crazy sometimes! It's like "Who's the excerpt here? Not you!". But I would never say that out loud though. I just smile and nod :-)
  7. That's why I called them my signature scents because they will never change them unless the suppliers I use stop making them. Anyway just wanted to know if other people had smelled the scent. I do love it and my customers love it. It was just a thought I had and wanted to share it and have you guys share back. No biggie. Thanks y'all! :-)
  8. I just looked at your websites and it looks like you have a lot of great products that people would want. I hope you decide to keep your business going. Good Luck! :-)
  9. I'm still trying to decide what type of dyes I want to use to color my MP soaps. So has anyone used Peacock dyes? Do the fade or bleed? They look like they would be good but they don't say if they are compatible with MP soaps. Thanks for your help! Here's a link to check them out: http://www.ellensessentials.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=70
  10. I do like it ROF. I only have 12 scents. One for each month of the year. I didn't realize I was offending anyone. Just wanted to know if anyone had smelled this scent and what they thought. That's all.
  11. Thanks Megan for the input but I think I'm really looking for another name for apple jack and peel. I don't know why I wrote all that other stuff. I just ramble. Like right now. Lol!
  12. Those are so cool! They look great! I have seen some of your other pillars in past threads and you always have the most beautiful swirls and layers! Amazing! Simply amazing!
  13. Hey guys! Has anyone ever smelled Holiday Frost from Candlewic? I was wondering what your opinion of it is because it is my signature December candle. Lots of people liked it last Christmas. To me it is a unique smell and one that has to be physically sniffed to know if you like it. Here's a link:http://www.candlewic.com/Store/Product.aspx?q=c146,p1185,fScents
  14. Hi! Unearthing another lost thread from years ago. My question to this quote is I heard that paprika and turmeric can make your soap smell bad. Is that true? Does anyone have any first hand knowledge?
  15. Thanks guys! I really like those names! I had already saw somewhere that another person named her sugar plum scent "sugar Plum Fairy". I am for sure using that name. :-) For autumn pear I had the idea to call it "Partridge in a Pear Tree". What do you think of that? As for Apple Jack & Peel maybe I use the "Jack" part as a play on words because my candles are called Jack Be Nimble.
  16. I am going to do two limited addition scents for Xmas called autumn pear and sugar plum. (going to change the names though) as well as my usual Holiday Frost from CW and country bumpkin from NG. I really want a limited addition Fall scent like orange clove or apple jack and peel but don't like those names. Anyone have any unique names that could tell a story in 4 words or less. Ex- summer herb garden. It makes me automatically go to that memory. Also I have a couple of fall citrus type scents already in my main yearly line-up so should I focus on a bakery scent instead. Would love all opinions. Good or what have you. Thanks! :-)
  17. The Jar may have an affecton a very small percentage of the HT but IMO not really. But I think you may be using to much FO. I only use about 1oz per pound of soy wax. HTH! :-)
  18. This is another old thread but I live in GA and would love to know if there are any good candle suppliers? As of right now I have to have everything shipped to me from others states. I have done a search on Google but nothing good really came up so if anyone has any reccomendations that would be great! Thanks! :-)
  19. I'm by no means an expert but I will say that I have read that a lid does help keep the candle scent in but it will not help with the HT or CT. You don't have to have a lid but if you do the candle can virtual never lose it's scent because it can't escape. If I'm wrong please correct me but I think most of that is partially true. HTH and good luck with your candles!
  20. Yum! That does sound good. Just read the description at NG. Does it do well in soy?
  21. Your welcome to if you want to Ecco. I don't mind. I know someone will find this thread one day and use the name. But yes I do love Country Bumpkin. It throws great in soy too!
  22. The only ones I use but really, really love are Fresh Outdoors- can actually smell grass and dirt. It's a very earthy, airy, clean scent. Country Bumpkin- which I call "Baking in the Kitchen" (nobody steal that name! Hehe! Just kidding)
