  1. Ha ha. Isn't that ALWAYS the problem! I'll probably never use all that I want and love!
  2. I haven't purchased this one but I have seen it in stores and the cold throw is really nice. I am searching for a good birthday cake candle. I think I tend to like things with an almond note to them too. I still have some sample packs that I am putting together but of the ones I have tried I haven't found one that I love yet. Or do you have a birthday cake scent you love? Or maybe there is a cupcake one that would be good too? I have tried TC,LS (this one seemed to have a little coconut in it) and Peak so far (however to be fair my peak sample was crystalized when I received it and I thought I warmed it up enough to dissolve but I was looking at the bottle last night and it's still crystalized a little so I may not have gotten a true idea on that one) I have a sample coming from Millcreek. In the next couple of days I plan on ordering samples from CS, NG and Elements. From reading up on this board it seems like there area few recommended which I will try: AH/RE and KY. So I guess what I am asking is anyone familiar with Judy Havelka's and/or what are your thought on some of what I mentioned? TIA!
  3. Oops I meant Vanilla Hazelnut from TC.:embarasse You'll have to let us know what you think of some of the fragrances you pick up!
  4. Since you metnioned a couple of suppliers you were ordering from I'll stick with suggesting the Capp. Brulee from BC. I like that one. Unfortunately never ordered from CS but my list is long and am about to order a big sample pack. Also since you were looking at JS I jsut ordered some samples from them and poured a couple last night. So far OOB and the cold throw on caramel cinnamon latte is nice. I don't use your wax though. You probably don't order from here but two of my all time favorites (probably because they were two of my first scents when I started making candles a few years ago) are Snickerdoodle and Hazelnut from Taylored Concepts. You could probably blend these with a coffee base. I have also heard they have a lot of nice coffee FO's.
  5. Taylored Concepts has some fluorescent dye chips and they are on sale right now. I have never tried them but they look interesting. They are listed on their home page right now: http://www.tayloredconcepts.com/
  6. Thank you for the welcome. Maybe tomorrow I'll actually figure out how to post in the right section. LOL. :embarasse Wasn't paying attention to what I was doing!
  7. First of all I want to say thanks already to the great advice and support I see here. I can't believe that I just now found this forum!:embarasse I already feel enabled! I am finally trying some new suppliers! I just got a couple of boxes in today of some samples. I have never ordered from Peak before but I already am loving what I smell OOB and I love that the samples and their FO comes in glass jars. I have some big lists of things to try (based on some suggestions on this board-thanks!) I have a Mill Creek order coming my way and have a big wish list for Candle Science and Nature's Garden. I already have tons of FO and don't NEED a lot more but there are so many fun thngs out there right! This girl needs her FO! I'll have to let you know what I think. I plan on pouring a few samples tonight because that means I am that much closer to burning them. Waiting for them to cure is the hardest thing ever!
  8. Thank you all for the replies. I am going to try some of these wick suggestions out and see what ends up working best with my wax. Love these little containers so I want to make them work!
  9. Trying to revive this post. First let me say that I can't believe I just discovered this forum. What a great forum. I am loving reading everything I have found. Especially a lot of reviews on different FO. I currently only use about 3 suppliers and have been wanting to try some new ones out! I recently am just starting the testing phase on these libbey cube containers. I haven't tested the 12 oz yet but am currently doing a first burn on the 7.5 oz cube. I couldn't find much on these when I did a wick search just now. I am using 6006 and zinc wicks. Using 1.5 ounces/lb of scent with this particular FO. My first test burn was with a 60-44 zinc wick. Two hours into it the scent throw is good and close to a full melt pool with a little hang up on the sides but I think it will eventually catch up on the 2nd or 3rd burn. My biggest problem is that the flame is a little big for my liking (which I kind of expected). My next step is the 52 zinc wick. Just wondering if it's going to catch the sides in the cube. Up to this point the zinc wicks have done well for me in this wax in the other 2 containers I use. I do double wick those though. I guess my question is if anyone else has tried to wick this container with 6006? It seems like I don't see a lot of people using these and maybe this is why! I like the container a lot just not sure if it's going to work!
