Looks like I won, she insisted that it should be red. I was like nooooo a shade of brown looks best for that FO.

I had a long debate with a friend of mind today about this. Im not going to tell you what colo she suggested vs my suggestion. I want to see if I were totally off or if she was.

May do that, I will test the reg soy and if the throw is hot may sell at cost to get rid of them. I just dont like the way they look.

Does the oil in your scrubs rise to the top after it has been sitting? I hope Im not mixing to much oil.

I have more than enough to fill that order, just have not tested using this type of wax from EL.

I will be following the replys to this post also. Im looking at renting a place but I need a place that has a/c or at least a window so that I can install one. I also looked at getting the portable a/c, is anyone familiar with those?

I started of using the regular container wax a couple of years ago. I graduated to the Mill Blend earlier this year. Well I placed an order for the regular wax, not the blend (200 lbs). I have a large order to make & have not tested using the regular wax, there are sink holes in the jars now & Im not sure of the hot throw will be the same. Are these two waxes that much different? Did I mentioned the cauliflower tops? I think I can explain the sink holes, I had gotten use to pouring at a hotter temp w/the blend. With this wax you have to pour after it damn near hardens.

I sold a customer an 8oz Candle doubled wick, 3" circ.... She lit the candle over the weekend (about 8hours) and again this morning from 8-5 and the candle is half wat gone. I noticed the MP was about 1/4". Should it burn that fast? I know she let stay lit longer than she was suppose to.

Me: :confused: It was an emotional roller coaster for me. I only had about 7 sales, but I learned a lot from this. "NEVER SHARE A BOOTH WITH SOMEONE THAT SELLS SUMMER DRESSES IN THE FALL". I got some exposure (good thing), people really did not se my candles b/c the dresses were hanging all over the place. Net loss (about $30). Everyone that did stop bye loved the candles however. I was suprised at how many guys were interested.

Right now I pour at the slushy stage and I get smoooooooth tops all the time. I knew that pouring at hotter temps makes rough tops (no problem). Im producing more and more candles daily (good thing) but it takes such a long time for the wax to cool to the slushy stage. I want to pour at a hotter temp and hit the tops with a heat gun. Does this effect the hot throw?

Your right, I used the same supplier (love the supplier) could be that there wicks have more wax or less wax on them. All I know is when I place an order I order 1000 HTP104 wicks.

La Cooka Ra-cha La Cooka Ra-cha Im excited about it. I will make my last batch tonight ot allow for proper curing. I wanted to pour the last batch on LAST Saturday to allow a 7 day cure, but things happen. Right now I have about 18-20 scents available. About 250 candles already poured and I plan to have 1 dozen 8oz bottles of lotion, 2 dozen 6oz bottles, 2 dozen 2oz bottles, 2 dozen 4oz jars of Sugar scrub and 1 dozen 8oz bottles of liquid soap. This event should attract about 3000-4000 people, wish me luck. Im guessing will get about 1.5% of sales from the crowd, thats about 53 total sales. Am I shooting to low or to high?

Where are you buying your wicks? I have to double wick almost all of my 16oz jars with the HPT104. The 93 is not hot enough and the 105 is toooo hot. I need an HTP100 actually. When I tell people I double wick with the 104 they always say "Thats too big" but htats the only one that works. Could me the manfacturer.

Does this exist? Im looking for a site that list crafts shows in ytour local area.
