  1. Poured two 16oz Jars Sunday 1 - 7% fo (Van Hazelnut) 2 HTP104 wicks EL basic wax 2 - 9% fo (Gardenia) 2 HTP83 wicks, EL mil wax When do I test burn these? 48 hours, 1 week???? Also, do you cure with lid on or off? I normally let mine sit for 24 hours before I put lid on to eliminate sweat
  2. You may be right, I placed a 104 and a 105 only one goes out.
  3. My wicks (HTP105) always drown when I get down to the last inch of my candles. Could this be b/c Im not mixing well enough and the scent is too heavy at the bottom?
  4. I use two 105's one seems to always drown and they both curl
  5. would you use? The HTP105 are not big enough and the HTP1212 are too big.
  6. How often do you stir your mixture before pouring???? Constantly or every minute or so.
  7. Is there a science to making your scent linger in the air once blown out? If this makes sense.... I made a Vanilla Jar (16oz) that lingered in the air for hours after the candle was blown out. Was it the manufacturer (ME) or the scent? Last night I burned a Honeydew and within minutes of blowing it out the scent was out of the air.
  8. Thank you all, I will try the 104 and 105
  9. Suggestions???? What are your favorites? Do you use equal amounts?
  10. When you find out please let me know, I have had one wick drown. I was using 83's though.
  11. Soy wax with 9% FO, what wick do you use? The HTP83 is not big enough and the HTP1212 nearly burns the house down. Is there one in between that Im missing?
  12. Thanks all, I noticed that I have t ouse about 9% for a good throw as well. I was using the manfactures reconmendation of 6-7%, which has NO hot throw at all. 9-10 works for me.
  13. Im finding that 5-7 days gives the best results. I poured a candle on Monday night and another on Weds night. I burn them both Thursday night. The one I made Weds had NO scent at all. The one I made Monday was OK. I also had one that I made 2-3 weeks ago (using the same recipe) man is was the bomb
  14. I normally wait about 7 days, but Im testing and I dont have 7 days to wait.
  15. 12 hours 24 hours 7 days Soy Wax Candles
  16. I usually wait a week, but I have been told that 12 hours was good enough.
  17. Got an order for 150, 16oz Jar Candles. I have a preto pot that hold 7lbs of wax, its taking a longer and longer evertime I use the pot (may need to replace). How long does it take you to melt 7lb of Soy and at what temp do you pour? I normally wait until the slushy/apple sauce stage, and this gives the candle a nice look. But I have heard of people pouring at 170 deg. This will save a lot of time, plus Im using Frosted Jars with no color. I think I can do it in a day.
  18. How does the cotton wick work for you?
  19. exp = experience, sorry..... What size RRD wick do you use and do you add any additives? Does the wick burn properly? Sorry for so many questions, I plan on testing this myself but I want some other opinions as well.
  20. What is your exp with this wax and what type of wick do you use? How much FO do you use, I was told that 6% was enough.
  21. When do you insert your wicks and how for about for a container with 3 1/2 in top?
