  5. I am using a matte finish right now. Looking at the website: http://www.officedepot.com/textSearch.do?uniqueSearchFlag=true&Ntt=brochure they offer glossy for inkjet I just haven't tried it yet. I will have to give it a try. I just wasn't sure if the inkjet could bind the ink into the glossy finish good enough. I have glossy labels for my jars and they can scratch off. Hope this was some help
  6. Suzanne, Tell me more about the Quickbooks Pro I think Sam's club has this $$$$ Will it keep inventory too?
  7. I would love to have a perfessional catalog printed up. Seems to not be in the budget at this time. Local printing company wanted $1.40 per sheet or so. I am having great luck with Brochure paper purchased at Office Depot. Using a digital camera for pictures, I cut & paste into a wordperfect document (that is right wordperfect) but you have to use what you got. *getdown* Print out with a inkjet printer. Everyone loves them and can't believe they are made at home Woo HOOO and I of course am saving...................money!!!!!!!! keep that overhead down so I can spend it somewhere else LOL
  8. Hi Lorrie, I have seen the quick books but like you i don't know what all they can do. I wish I had excel on my computer. I guess I need to look into buying some software. I don't have a website yet. Thanks for the advice :highfive: Brooke

  10. How are ya ! Looking at the other post on software I was wondering if anyone has a great software to recommend keeping track of customer info. like orders, address, phone number. That way to send out brochures to them. Or maybe I will have to hand track them LOL Not sure what kind of software is out there :rolleyes2
  11. Hummmm I am still thinking about these HOME PARTIES I am happy for all of you who are having great luck with them. Keep it up !!!
  12. I will have to third the WSP. I know the shipping charges are not everyone fav.... but I just combine at larger quanities and get the 8% off total order which I have compared with other supplies of equal weight as close as possible and with the 8% off I get the same investment as others. Also they have such a great variety of items. I do not order FO there Like Msyticalangel I too have other Companies to order from for FOs.
  13. Thanks for your advice. You are sure right about the time consuming and hard work that goes into home parties. I sold MaryKay products years ago and that was the same experience. Packing, unpacking 3-4 hours every night and phone calls for bookings. yuk I also went to a craft show last fall, again very hard work, packing and unpacking :rolleyes2 Don't get me wrong i am don't shy away to hard work it was just there wasn't a crowd there to make it worth the trip. I love the catalog show idea. Totally forgot about that option. I will have to think about some ways to reward the hostess. With these ugly gas prices Catalog shows maybe the way to go ! Thanks again, Brooke
  14. Just wondering if many of you do home parties. I have been asked about them. I know how these are handled but I wasn't sure what kind of demand or how popular they are. I always seem to busy when I get a invite to a home party. What is your thought on HOME PARTY in the future I know what kind of party I would like to have LOL *getdown*

  16. Where do you think I can find larger quanity packages of those mini paper cups everyone uses for firestarters. Looking for the smaller kind like you would use for condiments ( tarter sauce, or ketchup) I tried a search on sam's club website but couldn't find them. Or do you like the larger cups for firestarters better ????

  21. Hello, Not sure if I can help here. Need more info. What type of printer are you using? Microsoft word is not the ideal software to use for publishing layouts. There can be hidden text boxes that will throw things off. I know because this is what I use Microsoft Word my templates come from onlinelabels.com Another problem I had was printer selection of paper type made all the difference of line up at the top. Now if your printing is off mid way dowm the page look at cleaning your rollers on the printer. Give me more info. and maybe we can get out of this frustrating task. I know I have been there working on similar problems.
  22. Rest assured there are tons of people out there with just the same attitude. You know the ones that never stick to anything to finish it and than brag how much they know about it. Try and not get your feathers ruffled and be thankful you are not like that.*getdown* I would like to commend you on again going the extra mile to try and fullfill your fundraiser when you really didn't feel good. There are so many leasons to learn in life when you see one that you have passed the test rejoice You take care of yourself I have had back pain before and it is not fun !! Rest up Brooke
