  1. I'd love to see your recipe if you don't mind sharing Red.
  2. They all look awesome! I love the swirling of the cp & mp together, looks so cool!
  3. Red that sounds fab! I played around with this a while back, but I didn't ever perfect it. Mine felt too waxy
  4. Ooo, sounds good everybody! I'm not soaping this weekend, getting ready for a camping trip, we leave Monday! I did manage to make a batch of hair conditioner for my sister today, and some body wash last night. I might make another bodywash to take with us tomorrow too. hehe Have a good one ladies!
  5. I thought I was going to be the weird one saying I think they're about the same.. lol I do both HP and CP.. and with cured bars, I don't find much difference between them.
  6. Once I try the flavors I'll let you know how they are! In the past I've used flavors from MMS and BB.
  7. I love Beau Brummel in CP soap! Yummy!
  8. I love NG Fos! I just placed an order with them and I picked a few flavor oils to try as well. I haven't tried theirs before. Some of my fav NG scents are.. Blue Hawaiian Pink Sugar Lemon Meringue Pie Frosted Lime Cupcake Orange Cream Cupcake Pomegranate Mermaid Kisses Almond Macaroon Sugar Cookie Garden Gate I could go on... lol Oh, I use them in CP, HP and B&B stuff
  9. Good question! Because they have baking soda, over time it will 'eat up' the fragrance. I went on a bomb making spree and have LOTS left over from probably... 6 months ago? Most of them have lost their scent, but strangely the ones I made with eos didn't. I bet if you're making them for a show, you'd probably only want to make them up no more than a few weeks, to a month in advance. They fizz better too, the fresher they are. At least, imo.
  10. lol That's becoming my problem too Candlemama! hehe Once ya start, it's hard to stop!
  11. Hi everyone! I've decided to try making liquid soap and I was wondering if anyone had any pointers to share! I've been reading this tutorial here: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73514 Seems pretty easy, and since I've been doing HP more, I think I'm comfortable with using the crock pot, and recognizing the different stages and so on. I wanted to maybe try a different recipe than in the thread, and I was just wondering if someone could help me out with the soapcalc on this. For the amount of lye and water it gives, that would be the amounts to mix together and add to the oils, correct? Not including the amount of water used to dilute the soap. Probably a silly question, but I just want to be sure I do this right. lol Thank you ladies!
  12. omg, those are adorable!!! Wow, how creative!! Love it!
  13. I use VCO in body butter and lotion, and the smell doesn't come tru at all. Just a thought
  14. I'm not sure what you can add, but I've tried the bubble concentrate from WSP, and for shower gel I really liked it. Didn't dry my skin out or anything.
  15. Wow those look awesome! I think making some beer soap is next on my list to try out!! Great job! How on earth you did those layers of colors in the HP is.. beyond me! Amazing!!
  16. I second Daystar for vanilla FOs.. she's got TONS! My fav, so far is Rebel Yell. Another great vanilla I just got is Very Vanilla from Candle Science. Yum! I also really like Nature's Garden, they have tons of variety, ship fast, reasonable cost, and it seems like most of their oils are for candles, soap & bb. Have fun! I've gotten to the point where I have more FOs than I know what to do with! LOL I love it!
  17. Thanks ladies! I liked it candlemama! I'm going to try it at a few more times, using some of the tricks you guys told me about. I can see myself doing HP and CP pretty equally tho.. it was fun!
