  1. I'm just wondering if this flipping technique is working for any of you folks that have tried it?
  2. I thought it had a wimpy HT in my soy...decided to pass.
  3. I never click on links either. I am extremely careful and I use this card for candle supplies only. Most recently, Candle Science, Peak, Candles and Supplies.
  4. I got a call last night from a jewelry company asking if I had just ordered $1500.00 worth of gold jewelry on my business Mastercard, which I did not. (this card is only used for candle supplies). They called because their policy for first time orders is that the billing and shipping addresses must match. And immediately prior to this call, a charge to my account was made by West Indies Airlines. I cancelled my card immediately and met with my bank first thing this morning. What a pain!
  5. Eco 14 is crazy big for that jar. I use an Eco 6 with 464 in the 8 oz. jj with great results.
  6. I use Ecosoya PB. The scent throw is amazing, they pop right out of the molds and they look beautiful!
  7. Does anyone know of any suppliers that carry antique-looking, pressed glass-type of jars...I mean with the design pressed right into the glass. Thanks!:smiley2:
  8. The Cinnamon Buns from Candle Science throws great for me in Ecosoya PB.
  9. I'm looking for a good Candy Cane fo that performs well in Glass Glow palm...no luck so far. Any suggestions?
  10. I was wondering how many of you experienced candle makers wear masks when pouring candles and if so, what kind? Thanks.
  11. I was considering these as I was also looking for bees. http://www.amazon.com/Bee-Candy-Molds/dp/B0008D6P26/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&m=A1U0MYBKO1JKC7&s=generic&qid=1281314549&sr=1-1 Would you mind sharing where you get you hive jars? I have been looking everywhere for them. Thanks.
  12. hmmm....my current carton of 464 is also much drier and I am also having problems with frosting. Frustrating!
  13. Hi, I'm new to posting. I'm enjoying all the great information on this forum. I am also testing glass glow and I LOVE it! After pouring only dye-free soy and natural beeswax candles, playing with glass glow has opened up a whole new, colorful world for me! My first test candles have me baffled, however. All have burned extremely well (perfect size flame, very thin layer coating glass that melts away at the end), except for my last candle. It literally burned right down the center leaving huge amounts of wax on the sides and eventually extinguished itself. Huh? Each candle has the same amount of fo (1 oz. per pd), same wicks (cdn10), same jar (12 oz. bean pot - max diameter is 3") and same dye chips in various colors (reddig glo chips - 2 per pd). The only difference in the last candle is the dye-chip color, navy blue. The fo is Ocean, which I don't have to wick up in soy. My question / concern is, do different colors (within the same brand) burn differently? Thanks!
  14. I have been pouring BW's Mauie Wowie and I love it! It's sweet and fresh and so summery!
  15. Of course. The process is just as I have seen recommended on this forum: Heat to 125 degrees, Cool to 100, Heat to 115 and pour. The jars must be warm for proper adhesion. This works for me. Good luck!
  16. I now temper my 464 and have eliminated all the frosting. I have some candles that are over a year old and they still look new. (Although, I don"t color my candles, no additives...just uv). I know tempering can lead to heated discussions, but it sure does work for me. Tempering (for me) however, does not always ensure pretty tops. But that dry, frosty look is long gone.

    Pine for Ornies

Mistletoe from CS is my favorite and has been a huge seller for me.
  18. Their Oatmeal, Milk and Honey is THE best!
  19. I use Eco 12 wicks with 464 in my 8 oz. tins and get a great burn. Eco 14 would be too big. The tins from candles science do rust with several of my fo's as well as the tins from Specialty Bottle, which are supposed to be food grade...ugg! I have had to limit the scents I offer in my tins.
