I bought 3 wooden roses for my wife last year at an antique show I went and showed my engines at. I put sent on them and they are holding strong. I didn't pour scent on them, I used a small sparay bottle and spritzed them.

Scented, Those tags came off of the candles. I just wanted to see how they looked on them. I think it may be a permanant thing though. the tag on the candle is for our 6oz goblets.

Had a nice little party Saturday night. Was really nice for us to "feel things out" as this was our first party ourside of our home. So we got to see how much time we needed to set up and all the fun things associated with home parties.There were only a few people there since we had sever Thunderstorms in the area and Tornado Warnings, which none of us heard about:laugh2: The first three are of our set up, as we were putting things out and separating them by scent. 4th pic is of our candle Guard. He Watched out for the Tornados that were predicted. Last is of the Few people who came. The hostess Myranda is on the Right hand side, sitting on the floor with a ball cap on.

My wife made these pillars Saturday as we were getting ready for her party that night. I think the layered one is outstanding. I put our new tag (the one I've been slaving over for the past week for our goblet line) on them just to see how'd they look. I didnt think they look that bad. Sorry they are hard to read, I couldnt get the light to cooperate. The Short candle and the Octagon are bothe Black Raspberry Vanilla and the layered candle is Chocolate lovers (Hersheys chocolate, Fudge Brownie, and Raspberry Chocolate Drizzle)

You also IMHO have to look at the container you are wanting to use. A larger container with a wider mouth/opening would hold up better than something with a smaller opening where the heat will take more of a toll.

We tend to lean toward Lonestar. They seem to be more willing to bend over backward to help us with "unusual orders". I dont think Peak has as large of a fragrance oil selection as Lonestar has.

My wife and I welcome you to the candle making world, or is it a black hole... .. either way it's alot of fun, and for us we get alot of together time, which is the main reason we do it.

I have a Question about a Scent. We have an order for Sandlewood/vanilla. Is there anyone who makes this scent combination, or will we have to order both scents and mix ourselves?

The one on the right looks sort of Tribal. I like it!

Here's the new tag and my buisness card. The only thing that changes from Scent to Scent is I put a shadow that is the color of the candle on the Scent name.

Some of our best costomers are guys. Our Customer base is all ages, and You would really be suprised at who comes to these Pagan/wiccan festivals, all ages, all personalities, all walks of life. At the last Pagan Pride Festival that we went to we met the CEO of one of the largest companies in Syracuse NY. He's pagan and fallows Celtic paganism. You never know who you'll meet. I am glad that people are getting more open minded, and asking questions about it, instead of just jumping to conclusions. I like your idea of 2 tags. May be something to look into.

yeah I've thought about making the "burn safely" smaller. I will be mostly printing this on White "Card" stock. But in my tests I can print it on any color. All I have to do is change the Text Color. Black paper really looks cool.

Well Just plain old running out of time this weekend, so my wife and I sat down and came up with this tag for the Goblets. They will look good on any color card stock even black by changing the Text color to white.

I want to post a pic of another hobby that I have. I collect, restore, and show old Farm equipment, namely Hit and Miss gas engines. My wife goes to these shows with me when she can and sells her candles. Below is a pic of one of my set ups. This one goes with me to every show. As you can see the Water Wheel is a Pentagram. People who know what it is comment on it and those who dont, just think I like stars and that's why I made it the way I did. I made this one winter when I was out of work with a broken back. My wife did the heavy lifting and I did the design and cutting and with her help assembly. Now most people who go to these shows are the 40 and up. I havn't really gotten any negative reaction out of it. I dont think people will overreact to a pentagram like on the Link that is attached. Besides it can always be hidden against the jar since it will be a folded tag.

Another variation. And for anyone who's wondering what kind of program I have it's Photo Explosion. It came with my digital camera.

Trappeur, I'm sure some others can explain better than I can, but the shortest and easiest way to explain paganism is that it is a Nature based religion. They worship a God or Godess or both. My wife is wiccan. While there is a section that does worship the devil (satanism), most Pagans do no harm to anything or anyone. Hollywood and the press have given the Pentagram a bad name. It is just the opposite. Most of these people are very calm, happy, and very friendly. I have been supprised by the warm welcomes I have recieved at their get-togethers. And you would be suprised at who is Pagan. Dr.'s, Lawers, Teachers, The one Festival that we attend even has a Goverment official. I hope this helps to shed some light on it, and sets your mind at ease that it is not EVIL. PS thank you for the work-up of the cards. The only thing we worry about is people associating the black color with Black Magic. It is giving me additional Ideas. THANK YOU. Well adding one more to the mix of things. I can pretty much change what I need to, But 2 things that have to stay are the arched letters of Shantille's Candle Creations and the Pentagram. My wife is Wiccan and these she wants on the tag and someday lables for the jars. So the Brain is at work again to come up with something usable. I do have to say my wife has liked a couple of the last designs I've done. I do to, but I'm glad to have outside oppinions. Again this would be folded in half. My wifes picture in the back. I have to say I think the one with the boarder is my favorite so far.

Well these are the latest try on the tags. Again they would be folded in the middle. I keep finding things I like and things I thought I'd like but dont. I thank all of you for your input. Trappeur You have been so helpful. I look forward to what you think. The "Country Kitchen" is a layered candle we are making consiting of Blueberry Cobbler, Vanilla, and Baked apple pie.

Trappeur, This lable was all in fun, just to give me a break. In the picture my wife has a purple wig on at Halloween. She dressed as a witch. We dont have a "target" customer base. We sell at Flea markets, Antique Farm Equipment shows, Craft fairs, and Pagan/wiccan festivals. We also sell out of our house by referal by friends, customers and the website. I dont think my wife would go for having her picture on the lable. Both pictures are made "transparent" with a program I have. The pictures are really alot darker (regular photos attached). I do think things look alot better with less on the front. Any more suggestions you have, I'm more than happy to hear. You are a great help thank you Shane

Ok I was burnt out on trying to make a tag for our goblet line and started messing around. This is what I came up with. I kind of like it and I can make this one any size I want. It will be folded in the middle. Any thoughts? My wife informed I have to pick something to use by this weekend. So My Queen has spoken and I must obay.
