  6. Try adding 1/2 cup SLSA, and if it was me I would leave the corn starch out.
  7. When I make them I use a combo of castor and sweet almond oil, never had a problem with them being cloudy or yellowish. I feel castor oil is a must because of it's glide and shine. I have tried it with just SAO and didn't really care for it.
  8. I use the goats milk and the honey ones, they are very nice. Both take scent very nice and the goats milk one takes color very well.
  9. I use the Aloe shower gel and the hand and body lotion base from Bitter Creek. I really like them both also I have always been very picky about lotion and this one is very nice and leaves my skin very soft.
  10. Well I didn't vote because you don't have a option for both. I make a solid bubble bar that someone on another board was gracious enough to post the recipe for and they are wonderful, lots of bubbles and very moisturizing.
  11. I just started making a emulsified scrub a few months ago and I use shea butter, FCO, hempseed oil and avocado oil in it. I really like the feel of it makes my skin nice and soft.
  12. I make one with avocado butter, avocado oil, beeswax, tea tree oil and grapefruit EO. I can't remember which site I got the recipe from but it is very nice.
  13. You can find all of those here http://www.theherbarie.com/home.php.
  14. You can just use it alone on your face, hands, legs, whole body. Make a facial serum with it and other oils. Use as a hot oil treatment for your hair. Use it in a hair conditioner.
  15. When I do hot oil treatments i just use Monoi, it is wonderful, soft hair and smells so nice.
  16. You are pretty much right in your thinking. Here is some info on both copy and pasted from www.onederbar.com. Fractionated Coconut Oil (Coco nucifera) NaOH SAP value .234 The steam distilled fraction of whole coconut oil, this component is also known by its INCI name of caprylic triglycerides. A remarkable oil, most consider it to have an indefinite shelf life. It is non-greasy and non-staining, and it can actually assist you in using less preservatives in your emulsions. We cannot say enough good things about this oil. It is naturally fractionated, is a deep carrier, is a medium chain acid completely saturated and free of double bonds, giving it its indefinite shelf life properties. Best of all: It is EXTREMELY cost effective and the best bargain of all the oils along with rice bran. Coconut Oil 76 (Cocos nucifera) HaOH SAP Value: 0.19 Classic lathering agent in soap making formula, and also used to suspend botanical extracts like aloe.
  17. You can make it yourself with vanilla beans and powdered sugar. I have a recipe for it PM if you would like it. BTW I haven't tried the recipe yet myself it's on my list of things to do LOL.
  18. Michi if you have questions about the items at lotioncrafter just email Jen. She is very helpful and will answer any questions you have.
  19. At my Walmart the aloe gel is in the cosmetic section by the body lotion.
  20. You can also find the 8ml misters here http://www.lotioncrafter.com/store/Pocket-Spray-Misters-pr-16272.html and see what shipping would be to you.
  21. The Chemistry Store is just way over priced on this. I know some that have bought it from Soapers Choice and the CS and say there is no differance between them.
  22. I have made these before and IMO they are a waste of money and supplies.
  23. Here's one I saw posted at another board that has a few things www.goldenbarrel.com . I have never ordered from them myself.
  24. Most coconut oils will become solid or semi solid at a certain temp. If it was just bought over the summer and doesn't smell bad it is still good to use.
